sometimes when it comes to these writers bold means stupid.
I do too...The fact that they let Moreno walk for pennies though should show the confidence they have in Ball to get the job done and how much they think Moreno was more a product of the system than anything else.
If you look at Manning and all the RB's he has played with they have all been pretty darn productive. He opens up the run game quite a bit with teams focusing so much on the pass game. Throw in Manning reads defenses better than anybody and knows when there is a great opportunity to run the ball on a defense with great success.

Some of them strike me as very unlikely. For example, I don't expect SD to win the AFCW, nor do I expect RG3 to get benched by Week 6.
To clarify he said RG3 will be on the bench do to injury not benched because of performance.
And given RG3's history it's not all that bold of a prediction.
Simple question ,did you come from CBS to SportsHoopla? I have often wondered why so many posters who were at ESPN still get their info there and post it on a daily basis. Here are 10 bold predictions from Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports (don't recall ever hearing of him):

A couple that seem reasonable to me are TN winning ten games and Steve Smith catching at least 80 passes for 1,000 yards in Baltimore.
Perhaps the funniest, and most likely, prediction on the list is that Manziel shoots the bird at least twice during the regular season.

I don't know, the way he looked last year and so far this year, this is a real outside possibility in my view. Cousins has looked much better. Hell even McCoy looked better.

The NFC South is not going to be so weak that any team finishes 2nd with a losing record. I wonder if the author realizes that even though Carolina went 12-4 last year, Cam Newton was the 5th most sacked QB in the NFL? And that the Panthers OL is returning 4 starters from last year? Not all at the same position, but they all have starting experience.
As for Steve Smith, I don't see 1,000 yards. 850-950 yards yes. The problem is not his pass catching ability though, it will be because his QB sucks.
If he does, he'll be shooting it from the bench.

I think CAR takes a step back...but imo that's no slight...12-4 is very strong...but 7-9? I like Benjamin, and think he will be a player, but don't think you can turnover the WR corp and expect the OFC to play at the same level so I expect Olsen to get a lot of targets on 3rd down, and the running game to be front and center...they can ride that DEF though...Tough schedule so imo 7-9 is not a shock, but I agree it won't be good enough for 2nd.
Smith...lot of pride...whatever game he has left will be left on the field...doubtful he goes for 80/1000...Flacco has Pitta back...lot of targets...Smith is not that tall and Flacco likes to throw it high...especially when under pressure.
Interesting point. I'm not sure that it will persist, however. I expect the Baltimore offense to look very different with Kubiak as the OC this year.
