Yeah I think they figure it's easier to get the surgery than delay it and risk structural damage to the arm by rehabbing it.

The velocity isn't there, but Feliz's secondary offerings look solid including the changeup, now if only he could have consistent velocity

I know absolutely no one will agree with me, but I still want neffy to start. I think that his velo will pick back up (josh johnson was slow too at the beginning) and his offspeed stuff looks pretty crisp

The second year is usually when the velocity ticks back up. Haven't seen that progression in Neffy yet.

I think that this offseason we should tell neffy to condition himself to start next season and take it slow with him. He's still so young, and an offseason should do wonders

That will be his 3rd season removed from the surgery. If he doesn't improve at that point I don't think he ever will.

Ya but this is his first season of ACTUALLY pitching. He only made 6 appearances last year and one would think its not long enough for someones arm to get in the shape that his was at

We all know this season is all about next season, right? It's all about learning, growing and seeing players get more consistent.

So what if RW said, "fuck it. Leonys, you're either gonna get this bunt down, or you're gonna K. Up to you?"

Possibly one of those "teaching moments."
