I'm not offended just get tired of every thread turning into some kind of Seahawks debate. I would rather debate the players on the list and just leave out individuals teams how they have faired against these guys. If people want to debate how the Seahawks have done against these guys then by all means go for it I guess. I just see Seahawks fans on most threads complaining about how people talk nonstop about the Seahawks yet this is a big reason why. Even threads that have very little to do with the Seahawks seem to have somebody make some kind of comment that just throws the whole thread for a loop.

I don't think Uhsplit was trying to turn this into a Seahawk thread or trying to flex at all. I think he was just trying to compare those players vs the team he follows and encouraging other posters to do the same.

An OT making this list is impressive. I would imagine AJ Green and Josh Gordon would be couple more nightmares to try and gameplan against. Hell, you could add Julio, Cordarrel, Dez and Shady.

If that was the case he wouldn't have added those snide ass remarks following their stat line. It was an obvious "look at Seattle" baited hook.

Last post on this topic as again don't want to turn this into a Seahawks thread. I don't think he was trying to turn it into a Seahawks thread. I was saying posts like this are why so many of these threads turn into Seahawks threads. You have to remember a majority of the fans on this site especially right now are Seahawks fans. So if any team is going to be talked about it will be the Seahawks. Even the smallest hint towards the Seahawks is all it takes for a thread to run wild.

Anyway back on subject I am a little surprised they picked Cam over Luck. Luck has the better arm of the two while being pretty darn close in running ability. I would say more Coaches and GM's are afraid of facing Luck than they are Cam at this point.

Good point. Easy to overlook the contributions of the o-linemen. I know I didn't realize that Smith is apparently this good:

"9. Tyron Smith, LT, Dallas Cowboys

It takes a certain type of offensive lineman to even be considered for this list, but Smith is rare. As one NFC defensive coach said, "He's a freak athlete, and strong. He has great recovery and a great punch." Smith stands 6-5 and 318 pounds, and has the athleticism to neutralize speed/quickness rushers and the strength to hold up against power rushers. What's perhaps scariest about Smith? He's just 23 and will start his fourth NFL season in 2014."

Did you also notice my snide ass remarks on those that did well against...well, you know, so and so?

Just trying to point out to Seahawks fans that they are just as much at fault in all of these threads turning into that. I have read over and over from some Seahawks fans saying that people just can't help but bash their team even when the thread has nothing to do with them. Again this is a big reason why that happens. Everybody before that post was talking about the players. The whole thread switched directions because of that. Now given yes I helped contribute to that but again just making sure Seahawks fans take some ownership in the whole ordeal. IF you are going to complain about people talking about the Seahawks so much then maybe you should look at yourself (I include myself in that) as being just as much a part of the problem.

To be fair though you spend an awful lot of time in threads directly related to Seattle.

-Who will win the NFC west
-Russel Wilson the most overrated QB ever
-Seahawks secondary vs NE secondary

Those are just off the top of my head.

You mean the two examples of that? Which furthers the point. If the majority of these players put up great numbers against Seattle I'm sure you wouldn't have felt the need to make the post at all.

Seattle won the Lombardi. They are a great team. It's not as if posters are suggesting it was a fluke or wasn't deserved. Why the constant need to "prove" they are deserving. The trophy does all the talking.

Well the first 2 were the most popular on here over the last couple of weeks so there were a lot of people in those discussions. I also defended Russell Wilson in the overrated one so not sure why you would be upset about me being in that one. The secondary one I made one comment and it was responding to someone asking when the Broncos play Seattle and New England. So again not sure what your beef is with that when it was a question geared towards my team in the thread.

not upset at all no beef whatsoever. Just pointing out as a follow up to your comment about SEahawks fans turning everything into a thread about them.

Personally, I have no problem with Seahawks fans posting about the Seahawks as long as it is related to the thread. That post that started it all was actually related to the thread.

I'm to the point where they want to brag about their team, this is a great place to do it, and they actually do a good job keeping it in the Seahawks forum. I also don't have a problem with other people talking smack or posting threads about them. A message board that is based around sports is a good place for it. Now, I like to give my opinion, but every time I do, Seahawks fans think I am bashing them, when a few post I praised them.

You think so? I thought that the list of "matchup nightmares" referenced how those players represent matchup problems on average for all teams in the league, not any one particular team.

I agree that Peyton should be on the list and arguably should be #1, but I think this list leaves off QBs simply because if they included QBs they would make up half the list

Good point. :suds:

You're right, but he was talking about those specific players. He should have added whether or not he agreed with the specific player by those stats or should have given a few players who did do good against the Seahawks D that could have been on the list.

Seahawks D was the best D last season. It does show how much of a nightmare it was for the best defense, even if the article talks about against all defenses.

I'm not sure about Harvin. The guy is quick and has great hands, but he is too small and prone to injury.

Niners didn't have to face him last season, but he scares the shit out of me if he's healthy. That has some to do with the fact that the Niners don't have a great CB to cover him, but it also has to do with the fact that he's extremely dangerous.

But the "healthy" caveat is a huge one. It's like saying Aldon Smith is the best sack artist in the NFL when he's sober.

There's 2 QBs mentioned. Cam Newton is in the list of 10 and Andrew Luck is honorable mention. He does include QBs.

We noticed... But I think Cam Newton is only mentioned because he is the cream of the crop of "Dual Threat" type QBs. Basically they are only mentioning him because of his running ability. They did talk about his throwing ability on the run, but I can see where LogicallyLethal is coming from.

Actually a Seahawk fan related the topic to the Seahawks and you raised a stink out of it because you get some serious sand in your mangina over any conversation a Seattle fan dares to get involved in. YOU made this into something.... again. :L

I know I've said this dozens of times and I'll keep on saying it until it sinks in. This is the off season and most fans have gone off to do other things. Only the hard core and the fans still on the high of winning it all are left. It's our first championship and many of our fans are still looking to talk, read, and get involved in anything football still off that high.

This won't be the last time. Just deal with it. If you want a Seattle free zone go hang out on the Broncos forum, or better yet the 9'ers forum as most of us are banned from there. The general board will be as full of all things Seahawk as we damn well please.
