. And they very well might have lost to UNC had Kendall Marshall not broken his wrist.

Really man? You want to play the "what if game?" C'mon man... Had D Anderson played against you guys in '97 we win.

Had Nazi hit his free throws against you guys in '97 we win... see how that just looks bad on folks?

If DAnderson had played the Championship game, it would have been a UK romp. He was their best player

Notice both UK fans saying "we win" while I say "very well might have won"

This is the difference between you and normal people. You seem to be unable to grasp the concept that your team is fallible.

What if Derek Anderson goes 1 for 10? You don't even get to overtime. But I'm sure you think that it's not possible because he was your best player.

You're just butt bruised because you know UK will blow Zona's doors off if they meet this year:lol:

Yea, if I thought that way then the consensus best team in the country in '97(Kansas, not you) would have blown us out. Instead, we beat three #1 seeds on the way to our only title. I think I'll wait to see the games play out before I give up, if you don't mind.

Can't wait for your first loss this season, it's gonna be great.

I love playing the what if game. If Lamarcus Aldridge stayed for the '06-'07 season, him and Kevin Durant lead Texas to a National championship that year with DJ Augustin at guard.......

Exactly! How about what if Anthony Davis, Demarcus Cousins, John Wall, MKG, Nerlens Noel and Eric Bledsoe had all stayed till their SR year at UK LOL

To the people saying nobody stands a chance against a healthy UK team this year, this Duke team I'm seeing won't be a piece of cake for anyone this year.

It's obvious that we have a lot of great teams in college this year... I'm not sure why dcZONAfan is so butt hurt over some of the UK fan base being excited about this team. Had Zona returned a couple of players from last years team, I would have to believe their fan base would be dreaming of a "special" season as well.

If UK were to run the table (for the record, I don't believe they will) it would potentially be the greatest run in the history of college basketball.

That said, I would like to make it clear that 99.9% of the UK fan base couldn't card any less about 40-0... the only number we care about is #9.

:agree: 100% Indiana was the last team to go undefeated, but that squad isn't generally considered to be one of the greatest teams of all time any more than the 72 Dolphins. Winning the title is all that matters. And yeah, if Aaron Gordon had returned, I'm sure it would be the same for Zona. What I remember BEFORE the season started was a bunch of fans saying the Cats would flop because they couldn't replace Randle and Young, and I said we'd be a better team than last year. How's that working out?

Duke and Wisconsin are the 2 teams you should worry about the most imo. When all is said and done though, I think UK will probably win it all.

I think the team that worries me the most is Texas once they get Taylor back. That is the one team with the size and depth up front to go toe to toe with the Cats the whole game through. Duke and Wisky would be close to even money games, as would UNC IMO

First of all, I have always been one of the first to say I thought UK was the best team this year. I just think it's hilarious that almost all the UK fans I know seem to think that after watching them play 7 games this team will inevitably win the championship. Not that it's likely (it is) but that it's inevitable. That is cockiness at its finest, which is why the only fanbase more loathed than yours is Duke.

One of the best teams I have ever seen with the UNLV team with Tark as coach with Granmama Larry Johnson, Stacy Augmon and that dude that is a commentator now on TNT

Throw in Gonzaga and NC just so you don't have to put in UA. UNC loses at home to Iowa and wait until we beat Gonzaga handily on Saturday.

So how many do you believe you'll beat Gonzaga by? 12 or more?

I think it could/should be a outstanding game to watch.

Look at your post #156 above, ''WE beat Gonzaga''. Hypocrite much?:L

Yeah, interested in what constitutes ''handily''. UK beat Kansas handily. The Zona/Gonzaga game won't look anything like that

That team and 95-96 UK were the two best I've seen
