Not sure why Lloyd is set on sitting Saunders vs lefties. Saunders hits lefties better. Classic case of over managing. Buck, Romero, bloomquist and Gillespie shouldn't be playing on the same day unless your winning or losing by 10+ runs.

I'm estimating that it will take another 15 games for people to see that the ability of this pitching staff to somehow keep this craptastic team near .500 was a fluke. Amazing that it worked for almost 1/4 of a season, really.

taylor and elias are already showing signs of turning into pumpkins, and they'll be 100% there soon enough.

I'm not impressed with him as a manager, even trying to give him the benefit of the doubt since it's his first gig as the skipper. Maybe he'll grow into it a little better when/if he gets to run a real MLB team.

Remember Lloyd didn't even want to play Saunders in spring training nor was he looking to play him to start the season. Not sure what Saunders did to get in his doghouse before spring even started.

Other funny part is that Lloyd was Tigers hitting coach. They aren't playing great fundamental baseball under their new manager nor are they hitting for the former hitting coach. Must have been difficult working with those Detroit hitters last year.

Guys stinking up the joint. Every at bat, he sits there scratching himself when perfect strikes are thrown, but continues to swing in the dirt on every low pitch.
For the 7 inning god bless america, they should put him on a catapult and launch him into Puget Sound.

I help coach a 10-11 year old team and his swing reminds me of some of theirs. The mechanics are awful and he pulls his head just like they do when he swings. I am surprised he ever makes contact with that swing.
