So basically the first round is comprised of keepers. For me it comes down to Bell, Stacy or CJ. CJ in ppr is probably the right choice but in keeper leagues it seems RB's are the always the hardest to get since most people keep the studs. Any idea what other guys are doing ? And where do you draft ? If it's high enough on the come back you may get one of them back.

ummm lemme see real quick what other guys probable options are......like i said qb's are worth ALOT, 6 per passing td, and WR's who are high volume its a full point per reception.........and obv backs that catch are as well.......problem is we draft random every year.......we pull numbers immediately before the draft, so you never know wehre your gonna be, unless someone wants to trade picks with u, i draw #1 every year and trade it

team 1- aj green, dez, reggie bush, stafford, gronk, gio bernard
team 2-lynch, andre johnson, pretty sure he keeps lynch
team 3- Jamaal charles, jimmy graham, Brandon marshall, antonio brown
team 4-cam newton, ray rice, Demarius thomas, victor cruz
team 5-alfred morris, knowshown moreno, montee ball, keenan allen, welker(pretty sure he may not use his keeper)
team 6-Brees, mccoy, demarco murray, d Jax(this team finished horrible believe it or not)
team 7-Peyton, AP,
team 8-Lacy, forte, roddy white, aaron rodgers- no doubt he keeps rodgers he traded me for him to use as a keeper
team 9-TRIch, alshon jeffrey, harvin, darren mcfadden
team 10-chris johns, spiller, larry fitz, rg3
team 11-brady, garcon, decker,

Well based on the random draft spot and the look of the other teams, Calvin gets my vote. Appears there will be enough RB's back in the pile that you should get at least one high level starter.

If you don't keep anyone will you have a first round pick where the people who do keep someone doesn't??

If so I would keep nobody, if you pretty much lose a pick if you don't keep anyone, then I would keep Megatron...

The way I see it megatron is the only first round value on your team, but he is low level first round...

In PPR Megatron is probably the #1 pick.

agree on Megatron - probably only has 1-2 more years of being the hands down #1 fantasy WR, might as well ride him for one more.
Or you could try to trade him for multiple future picks, if your league allows it

The question is where is Calvin on your top 12... If he is top half, then keep him... If he is bottom half, then dont keep anyone... also depends on where you would pick in this first round, but with calvin available, it is possible that you will still get him...

In fact, i dont really understand the purpose of a keeper system like this..

Too be be a bit more technical. . The question would be, "is he in your 11-24 rankings?". Since the other teams are likely keeping one top 10-12 player apiece as well, the top ten players can likely be assumed gone. And since he must undoubtedly is in that range, he's your keeper.
I can see where your coming from Milk, in fact my initial response was to completely agree with your take on it. But after thinking about it, I don't think the option of no keepers is his best bet, regardless of Draft position.

And I'm not sure what you don't get about the system, it's the same way the majority of them I've seen are ran, except most of those have multiple keepers, instead of just one.

Treff, either you didnt get the system, or i dont understand the system...

If i understand this specific system correctly, you only get to keep one player, and that one player is your first round pick... If you dont keep anyone you still have your first round pick...

so, if he doesnt keep calvin, and there are 6 teams who havent kept their one player, he has a 1/6 shot to still get calvin... so depending on how he ranks calvin in the top 12, it may be wise for him to not keep anyone, because it is very possible to get a better keeper as well... Not sure if the first round(keeper round) and the regular draft order is related, but it may be a calculated risk...

Not to mention, there is always one or 2 owners who keep weird players, even in this system...

Six teams that don't keep a guy? That seems like an awfully big stretch to me. Especially considering the OP doesn't have more than one worthy candidate. . Surely the others do.
I understand the system just fine, but I'd never make the mistake of assuming half the league won't keep anyone.

the more owners to have a keeper the better though...
