The NBA is 99.99% LAKERs and then there is everybody else.

singular talents like MJ or Lebron might temporarily draw some audience, but those franchises don't have the power. It is the players themselves.

The NBA dream final is LAKERS vs LAKERS in a 7 game series.

Why the hell do the Nuggets have so much territory? There's probably no one in the counties anyway..

The Seattle Lakers.

Anywhere there is not an NBA franchise, it is essentially LAKER country.

Heck the Lakers are sometimes top choice in places where there is a franchise.

HEck all three major Texas cities have the Lakers as a 2nd choice over any rival Texas team.
There seems to be more Laker fan penetration than even teams like the Yankees and Cowboys.

Imagine if the LAKERS did not complete suck.

Laker fans be all like band wagon fans are the worst...

They’re old and hobbled. They missed the playoffs, and Coach Mike D'Antoni resigned. But they’re still the most popular team in most of California, Nevada and New Mexico, as well as parts of the Midwest and Appalachia. The only team with anything approaching the Lakers’ appeal is the Heat, who have won the last two titles. The Heat control much of the Southeast, as well as southwest Ohio.

Typical Bot idiocy.

Considering that the only team that comes close to the popularity of the Lakers in a season where the Lakers won 27 games, is the Heat after winning the last 2 titles. It looks like Lakers fans have been right about Heat fans all along!!

Couple of thoughts:

-Why did they use black for the Spurs AND Heat? I'm just going to (safely) assume every black area outside of TX are Miami fans.

-I find it interesting that pockets of Kentucky appear to be Celtics fans. They're just out there by themselves. I can't think of a reason why that area would lean that way right off the top of my head.

Yeah, he was. That could be it I suppose but why him over Wall or Cousins or any other UK guy? Just odd I guess

Hmm.. I dunno. He's been around a little longer than the other guys, won a championship with the Celtics.. who knows.
