Dallas Stars vs. Anaheim Ducks Playoffs *Round One*

No worse than what Perry did to Benn in Game 1, except Garbutt got busted for it and Perry went unpunished. That's what happens when your coach goes and cries to the media about how the Stars are being too rough with the poor wittle Ducks. The Ducks have been the NHL's dirtiest team for a few years now and it's the height of hypocrisy for them and their fans to be calling the Stars dirty now.

I didn't mind him spearing Perry. I meant terrible bc it put Dallas in a bad spot. Def didnt expect game misconduct.

I revel the fact that Dallas is viewed that way. Playoff hockey

TSN called that penalty on Goligoski at the end of the 1st period which led to the Ducks' PP goal "the worst call so far made in any playoffs series this year". And Keith Jones and Jeremy Roenick said that Corey Perry way oversold that spear from Garbutt and that the reason Garbutt got the Game Misconduct was due to Perry's diva act. When 2 former players call you out as a drama queen, that's pretty bad. But as for Perry, it's accurate. Dives, flops, stomps on guys with his skate, spears in the nuts, slashes, and only fights weaker players and either skates away or turtles when a better fighter challenges him... just a total bitch.

Refs set the tone for this one early in the 1st period and really put the Stars behind the 8-ball for the rest of the night. I won't go as far as to say the refs cheated the Stars or the Ducks only won because of the refs, because 6 goals is 6 goals. But it might have been a different game entirely had period 1 not been such an epic failure on the part of the guys in stripes.

Seguin's gotta step up in Game 6 and Dillon has to be a lot better and shake off the rust that he showed tonight. His presence out there tonight cost the Stars at least 2 goals.

Garbutt made a fucking idiotic and immature mistake which I believe is what cost us... Put them on the power play for 5 minutes so they could find their form (which they clearly did cuz they scored 4 fuckin pp goals) , got him out of the game, and set the stingy tone from the refs for the rest of the game. Dillon cost us a couple there at the end. Kari was awful. Everyone today was awful imo except benn and horcroff. Not just cuz they scored the goals, but cuz they truly were the only players on the ice tonight. Horcoffs played well this whole series, so hats off to him. The refs were tight today, but garbutt set that fuckin tone with a stupid mistake. I love the guy, but for fucks sake that was so stupid.

Gotta hold home ice again. Don't even worry about game 7. Win at home. They just put up 6 fuckin goals on us, so we cant be looking ahead.

Oh, perry forsure deserved a misconduct in game 1, but the refs made the right call there. That was definitely a gamer. I know its perry, and no one hates him more then me, but bino got what he deserved

Can't be satisfied in this series. EVERY SINGLE GAME, the team who has dominated the first period gets dominated in the second. If we beat them in the second period, we win the game.

Its a bunch of veteran players in Anaheim vs a bunch of kids. We're ruffling their feathers (no pun intended) big time. It's been a very very hard nosed game. Traditional old school hockey. These are the types of games that turn non hockey fans into diehards
