idk if Id say alll that.... but hell ya. the fact that he was even baited into fighting in a playoff game speaks for itself. They were missing their best player, and their second best player couldnt keep his cool. Pressure is ON

I would say he did. Roussel repeatedly punched him in the head and had a few land while Perry frantically retreated with a deer-in-headlights look on his face before Roussel fell on top of him. Maybe not a classic pummeling, but there's no doubt Perry turtled and got fed several rights. Even Razor said "I'd retreat too if I had a crazed Rooster throwing at me".

I watched the replay in slo-mo and Roussel definitely landed one right flush on Perry's nose and a few others which were more glancing blows. That's pretty much Perry's M.O. too, either fighting a smaller guy he can handle or turtling against better fighters like Roussel.

this experience these guys are getting is invaluable right now. Maybe it was nerves the first couple of games (even though you could easily make the argument that we outplayed them, save for period 1 of game 1). I'm just so freakin proud of these guys. I feel like its my kids playing on this team when i've never met and had a conversation with any of them. Hockey is that type of game. There is no other game in the world where players have eachother's backs more and the camaraderie is more apparent. Its honestly one of the most beautiful games there is.

The NHL still does reseeding in the playoffs, yes? If the Stars were to somehow advance, I'd say we have a chance against anyone but Chicago.

No. It changed this year. No reseeding. The Stars will get San Jose in the 2nd round (hopefully).

btw, I think after this season and playoffs, you could easily make the argument that seguin AND benn are both top 20 players. Benn has matured exponentially this season, and I'm willing to bet the olympics helped this, as well as having a linemate like Seggy

Even Barry Melrose said the reason these guys are not more recognized is because they play for Dallas.

No worse than what Perry did to Benn in Game 1, except Garbutt got busted for it and Perry went unpunished. That's what happens when your coach goes and cries to the media about how the Stars are being too rough with the poor wittle Ducks. The Ducks have been the NHL's dirtiest team for a few years now and it's the height of hypocrisy for them and their fans to be calling the Stars dirty now.
