Jay Feaster made his fair share of mistakes while he was GM of the Flames (the ROR offer sheet debacle obviously front and centre), but when you look at some of the prospects in the pipeline, he did a pretty good job at the drafting table during his tenure. I guess we have to wait-and-see how some of these guys like Poirier, Granlund, Gaudreau, and Ortio will pan out, but acquiring Karri Ramo also looks to be a nice move by Feaster.

/Go ahead, laugh away, but he wasn't as terrible as some make him out to be.

DCMP thinks the people on the wait list will "gobble up" the season tickets that people arent renewing

"its just like the stock market ... you buy low"

yah that would be true ... IF THE PRICE WAS LOW!!!

Well I heard stuff that if Trevor Linden did take over that it would be a way to earn the fans back and get them to retain the season tickets

Well, if getting Trevor Linden means getting rid of at least Gillis, I can see some of the fans wanting back in

the rumour is he will be president ... big fuckin whoop ... meaningless for the team ...fans arent idiots ... Aquilini thinks they are but he'll be proven wrong

when i said STH renewals are a month late this morning i was wrong ... they are DUE tomorrow ... all this news of change coming out today is obviously because renewals are in the shitter and they are very very desperate ... the ONLY solution (which is also the LEAST likely) is a ticket price decrease imo

Tony Tanti now owns and operates a flooring business in the lower mainland so he has the general manager experience the canucks need

:noidea:

Every good team needs a solid foundation, and that starts with a good floor

On a slightly more serious note, this is good news for the Canucks and their fans. Gillis started out okay, but the mismanagement of his goaltenders and that terrible press conference last Thursday likely was the final straw.

Mike Gillis is now available to replace Dave Nonis as usual, and right on schedule.

“@DownGoesBrown: Lots of people in my timeline defending Mike Gillis. Well, he wouldn't be the first Vancouver Canuck to take a fall for no good reason.”

Carlyle/Nonis gets fired, Gillis goes to Toronto and brings John Stevens with him as head coach(coached JVR in PHI and Bernier in LA)
