I think hip resurfacing is a bigger deal than others

If he comes back from it, I believe he'll be the first. But in today's world of ever improving medicine, surgeries and recuperation time/methods, he might be the first of many to come.

One thing about Colby, you know he'll do his part to make it happen.

Yeah I would be singing the praises of a guy who had a 93 career OPS+ and only broke 100 three times in 14 years...you totally nailed me on that one.

luckily he was an outstanding defender as well until injuries derailed his career

Well apparently he feels great, better than he has in years

I think we see him in April sometime

I think that's the most important thing. He's learning to pitch without pain. Has to be a whole new world for him.

I know it's a big deal, but if he can pitch without pain then he should be able to find his mojo.

If he comes back from it, I believe he'll be the first. But in today's world of ever improving medicine, surgeries and recuperation time/methods, he might be the first of many to come.

Fair enough.

If he does, I'll be thrilled to cheer him on. I just want my Rangers to win.

I feel like now that people care more about BA and RBI in regards to hitting that players that only play elite defense will not last as long in baseball. Elvis for one. If he never develops that hit tool for a whole season, is his glove going to carry him the next decade in the league? I love the guy and everything he does, but if he could do what he did in the second half of last season from start to finish then he's a borderline MVP candidate.

So Pat Corbin of the D-Backs might need TJS for a busted UCL.

Sounds like we need to genetically engineer some kids without UCL or come up with some unbreakable fiber.

In 15 years all we'll hear is Player Enhanced Gentetics is ruining the game.
