Great Dayne
I was right even if you believe I was wrong
He's same place he was before the game. Good, not great QB.
Define great, and who is considered great in your opinion.

How many QBs are you gonna take over him if you're building a team to win the SB now? Lets make a list and see what we come up with. Next season, assuming no retirements:
Peyton
Brady
Rodgers
Brees
Ben
I think those are your first 5 off the board easily. No debate at all. After that, you could argue a lot of QBs in the 6th slot. Could Wilson be there?

Right now we're just delaying the inevitable as RW will be the #1 QB in the NFL in 3 years. He's already better at running, throwing on the run, improvising than all the above. He's already a better overall player than Ben. His preparation for games might be more advanced than even Manning with the utilization of visualization. His clutch ability and playing in poor outdoor conditions is superior to Brees, Ben and Rodgers. I predicted Hawks would win this SB 2 years ago and now I am predicting RW will be the best QB in the NFL 3 years from now. He will never win MVP because the style of offense and the D is not condusive of posting elite numbers but he will continue to lead while being the most efficient and clutch QB in the game.
After your 5...I would take a few other guys before RW...but here's the deal...the way the SEA team is made up they're not asking the QB to carry the team...if Wilson had to pass it 35-40 times a game I'm not sure exactly where I would put him, but he wouldn't be top 6.
It's difficult to determine this since we really haven't seen Wilson in this predicament due to his team's makeup (elite D and run first). However he was the only player on NC state and had to pass 30+ times per game yet he has the all time NCAA record of throws in a row without an int. Now being successful on the college level doesn't always carry over to the NFL however the Badgers offense is similar to the Hawks and he is basically achieving the same statistical and winning success in the NFL as he did with UW in being increadibly efficient and clutch. I believe he could easily be a guy to lean on for 30-40+ passes per game but don't have the evidence in the NFL to back up this claim. My belief comes from his previous college outcomes and his current preparation habits.
Quite honestly it puts him in the same arena as Jim McMahon and Trent Dilfer. I think time will tell he's better than those two but he needs multiple titles and some more time before he elevates beyond those two. Seattle won this title with defense.
JDM, still waiting for those 16 QBs you'd taken over Ben.
Rivers
Wilson
Cam
RG3
Luck
Tannehill
Flacco
Kaepernick
Alex Smith
Foles
Locker
Cutler
if the question is, "pick a qb to win the sb NOW" (as in THIS year--you only have the QB for one year), wilson would be somewhere in the middle of the pack of the league for me.
The only quarterback that I can say with certainty would have led that team to a title was Rodgers. Peyton and Brady and Brees are probably better QBs with time, but I'm not sure they can handle playing behind a terrible O-Line like Russell did.
Ben won a SB behind a worse line than he did.
Neither had bad O Lines. Both hold the ball forever, resulting in inflated pressure numbers. It's as much a product of how they play as high yards per attempt.
