If the officials call a true close game, Denver will get called for 274 offensive holding penalties. They're tackles are two of the most penalized in the NFL this season. Seattle will be called for 189 Illegal contact penalties for whacking the WRs beyond 5 yards from the line of scrimmage.

If the officials let the game be played as they should and only call flagrant fouls, Manning will have problems finding open receivers. Seattle will have a much worse time finding receivers.

Denver can stop Marshawn Lynch much easier than Seattle can stop Knowshon Mareno and Ball.
If Denver doesn't try to make Manning into a Demi-God, run the ball a bit more than normal, and try not to get huge chunks of yards every other down, they could keep the Seattle defense working most of the game. If Manning drops back 40-45 times, Seattle will wear down the Denver offensive line and Manning will be spending a lot of time on his ass. Sacks or no, the Hawks will hit him and that's not good for Denver.

AS a Patriot fan, I've witnessed strong defenses wreck my teams in two Super Bowls. Denver hasn't played a defense like Seahawks' this year. The Broncos are thinking that they can play just like they have all year......................wrong!!!!!

History has shown that great defenses generally beat great offenses..........The Seashawks defense is better than the Broncos offense.

History has shown this but the rules have change a lot. The New Way is in favor of the offense. I personally don't like it ,but it is what it is. Seattle will not by defense alone.

Officials aint goin to be a part of this game... GREEN LIGHT to the defenses to get away with the petty BS (PI and DH) and O-lineman can get away with a ton of holding close calls.

no it hasn't, especially not the last few SB games...and again,context- those great defenses had better offense and better QBs when they won.

last years great defense got pounded my a middle road offense and SF and Seattle are pretty much the same team with Seattle being even younger with less offensive power.

I have a friend who thinks that the SB has been rigged for some time now. Teams are lead to it by popularity of the times. The Refs guide this action. He first stated the Pats after 9/11 and the Saints after Katrina.....they both won. I don't believe this at all but if I found out that this was true I would never watch another game.

If it was true, then the Yankees would have beaten the DBacks in game 7 of the 2001 WS. There is no such thing as conspiracies in sports. Anyone who believes there is, is an idiot.

Now there may be cheaters or individuals who may have bet a certain way that try and impact the game in their favor, but not a "league" conspiracy.

In todays (last 15 years or so anyway) WWE version of the NFL. The big human interest drama story always wins the superbowl. Peyton Manning being the first ever winning a superbowl on 2 different teams in what could be the his last game is the story.

What Drama! What Intrigue! What a joke. If this game gets close there will be a horrendous call that goes against the Seahawks and costs them the game. You can see it coming from a mile away and yet there will still be people who act surprised or like it was just unfortunate or that your are crazy. That's why I am posting this before the game.

The NFL is fixed. Put on your tinfoil hats because it will be Superbowl 40 (2006) all over again.

I bet you also think that 9/11 was an inside job.

The whole Peyton Manning story has been a big deal but I really don't see how the NFL would benefit if the Broncos beat the Seahawks or vice versa. There were obviously bad calls in Superbowl XL but most of us are over it and don't really care anymore.

It allows the NFL to stay in the spotlight a lot longer during the offseason. That means more money. They can talk about the great story of Manning winning a 2nd superbowl with 2 different teams after suffering a life threatening (it may not be but it will be when they tell the story later) neck injury.

Baseball , LOL. Like anyone really gives a crap about it. That's one of the few sports that would actually benefit from contraction. That being said it has nothing to do with football. I never mentioned any other sport.

I have no doubt Seattle is going to get screwed today. They were last time. The question is will it be enough to make a difference.

Absolutely it does. That was the Killer Ray farewell tour. The Seahawks got butt fucked the last time on the Bettis farewell tour. Deja vu all over again. Grab yer ankles boys! :yahoo:

if they don't rule that a forward pass, we'll know for sure the nfl and refs have a pro-peyton agenda
