In todays (last 15 years or so anyway) WWE version of the NFL. The big human interest drama story always wins the superbowl. Peyton Manning being the first ever winning a superbowl on 2 different teams in what could be the his last game is the story.

What Drama! What Intrigue! What a joke. If this game gets close there will be a horrendous call that goes against the Seahawks and costs them the game. You can see it coming from a mile away and yet there will still be people who act surprised or like it was just unfortunate or that your are crazy. That's why I am posting this before the game.

The NFL is fixed. Put on your tinfoil hats because it will be Superbowl 40 (2006) all over again.

If you fail to see the irony of this statement...

If that's the case, why is Sherman getting probably more media attention than Manning? Seems to me like it's been about 50/50 this year. You are right that usually the drama ends up winning, but this year seems different with the whole 12th man/Legion of Doom/Crazy Seahawk fan stories popping up. At this point, I think it's safe to say either one could win if it's rigged, drama going both ways.

The sad part of the aftermath of tonight, no matter who wins the game ....

the stupid moronic shitty internet football fan mentality will focus more on how much the team that lost sucks and practically give no credit at all to the team that becomes Super Bowl Champions.

That happens a lot because many superbowls end up being blowouts.

Guess the Hawks will just have to make sure the game isnt close.

It would be nice if the refs do not get to decide the game. There will be enough indigestion with all the spicy food.

No. That's why I put it in there

"tinfoil hats" is a derisive phrase to mock those paranoid loonies that grab onto wild conspiracy theories

this is what you are aligning yourself with?

ok, carry on

well, no doubt the seahawks got screwed by the refs in their last SB. i'm not sure if I would say it was 'fixed' though. most likely just bad officiating. hopefully officiating doesn't determine the outcome in this one.

There's always going to be questionable calls that will have the losing fan base saying "well if this would've happened" or "well that may have lead to this happening". It never fails. So while I would like to think this will be an evenly called game, certain questionable calls will most likely arise and give the fans something else to argue over. ;)

The thing with SB XL was that there was a flag thrown on what seemed like every other play and neither team could get any momentum going and it just made for a bad game. It seems that the league did learn from this and since, they have "let them play" quite a bit more, so there was some good that came out of that horrible game.

They have?

Last years came down to the last possession by the 49er's.

The year before that the Pats could have won it with another TD.

Ditto the Steelers could have beaten the Packers with the same.

And so on back.

We haven't had a blow out in a long time.

I can already see it... An amped up "legion of boom" gets flagged early on for a personal foul hit (thats been called all year long) and the tissues will come out.

Gotta admit if this has not popped into what the OP said into you're head whoever you are you have not watched much too many SB's.

For me it really started to happen with all the Manning interviews and then flashbacks of Elway getting his second and the half hour montage of him with Greenday's song in the background going over and over.

Thankfully from what i read they have already discussed how they are going to call so both teams will know very early in the 1st qtr.

There's a reason why I never watch all of the media crap heading into this game. I prefer to have a blank slate in my head so that I can watch it without thinking about the "storylines"

I did happen to notice that bookmakers have really high exposure on Seattle's side. They don't want the Hawks to win. If there's ever going to be a fix put in on the game it will be in favor of the Broncs. Not because there is a conspiracy against Seattle but because the public all bet on them & Vegas hates to lose.

Wow, did I step into a time machine???

Is it January 2007 again?

Let it go Seahawks fans. You lost the game.

Maybe there was some bad officiating....so be it..... make the plays to overcome it.

This is ridiculous.
