Best QB of the 2012 draft class

Come on now. They listed Harvin and Rice as receivers for Seahawks. Harvin missed pretty much the whole season and Rice the last half. Also Rice just never seemed to get back to being a top notch receiver.

Be honest JDM. How do you rate Seahawks receivers?

Mediocre. Not amazing at getting open, but reliable with mostly decent hands and ability to go get the ball. Seeing as they have very effective run action to get open, their biggest weakness is mostly mitigated.

I'm simply laughing at him using "proof" that considered the Seahawks better at WR than the Colts.

Now that's a fair assessment of our receivers and yes a bit of a fail on his proof.

The correct answer as of right now based on the total body of their work to date is Luck with Wilson second. Foles had a crazy coming out party, but I need to see it out of him for a full season to believe it otherwise I'd have him up there next to Luck.

Well, I've said it before that I love having Russell Wilson on our team up here in the PNW and wouldn't trade him for anybody for the Hawks situation. Having said that, I still say Luck is and will be the top of this class. He passes every eye test and is the difference maker on that team. Still has a lot to learn but will get there sooner than most would, imo.

Those receiver rankings are virtually useless by every measure. Even if you put stock in them, the loss of Reggie Wayne takes Indy from a top 10 to a bottom 10 in a heartbeat. As for Seattle, Harvin has been out virtually all year and Rice half the year but really, Rice only showed flashes of anything when he was healthy. JDM is right in that Seattle's receiving corp is about middle of the pack. I do give credit to our guys for making the most of things, though.

As for RG3, it's obvious this kid is loaded with talent. Unfortunately, I don't know if he will ever be able to stay healthy. Pro sports is full of guys who, when the knees start getting injured, it just keeps on happening. Honestly, it's too soon to tell.

I like what Foles has done and I'm not selling him short here but the guy is in the best QB situation of nearly everyone in the NFL. An excellent O-line, a superstar RB, a great bunch of receivers and TE and a top-notch offensive mind for a coach. He's made the most of it so I give him credit.

Ryan Tannehill is the guy on here that I would really like to see get some help just to see how good he can be. He could be the wild card in this class if that team gets some things sorted out.

There's no homerism. Wilson has the much better stats with a much worse supporting cast. At least in the debates in college, people could say Wilson had much better stats with a slightly better supporting cast.

Now there is no reason to think Luck is better. It's probably why he has 18 votes and not one of them has given a reason based on results. And when asked what Luck does better on the eye test, no one can say. It's like everyone has been brainwashed, but it doesn't matter. A week from now Russell will be leading the worst O-Line in football in Super Bowl 48. And Luck will be watching knowing the guy picked 74 slots below him has surpassed him in every objective measure.

I gave a clear set of reasons why I chose the three of that list worth talking about in the order I did. Your list is different? Great, but you can't disprove my logic for my opinions as opinions are just that. Foles would be higher if he had more of a body of work. As he only played half a season or so he can't surpass those with two full seasons under their belts. Hate on it all you want, but it is a reasonable stance to have.

First you say Wilson isn't a 1a (which I never said) nor even second so I suggested two others from the list with an eye rolling smiley which should tell you the intent to say who should be at second over Wilson. I then said why I would put Wilson over Foles at #2 on the list simply because Foles hasn't done it long enough IMO. Not changing the conversation in the slightest. The OP concerned taking ONE QB over the other options. Not ranking them in order. Luck is obviously, clearly, by an easy margin number one in his class. Was selected that way, it remains that way and the gap will only continue to grow as years pass. You've tried to slip Russ in there as the runner up.(Go back a page if you don't remember.) Which is a homer thing to do.
