I would consider the Saints and 9ers defense to be better than what Denver is trotting out there and they couldn't stop Lynch.

Percy Harvin, fingers crossed, should be out there to give RW another weapon. That is if Harvin doesn't get hurt in the 1st quarter....

49ers DEF is better no doubt...I'm not worried about stopping Lynch...he's going to make plays, if he's leaving 3rd and 1 or 2, DEN will be in trouble...but controlling him and getting 3rd and 4 or 5 I like DENs chances.

The key for SEA is staying close and not getting down 2 possessions in the 2nd half (especially 4Q)...that will keep Lynch a big part of the game plan.

Results are about what I thought they'd be 37 for Denver, 39 for Seattle. Pretty even split.

I hope the game is that close as well, and it should be.

The Seahawks offense hasn't looked that great in their 2 post season games, it was their defense that saved them. Can that defense stop the Denver offense? That's where the game is, IMHO. Denver is going to try to put up points in a hurry to get Seattle out of the run game and abandon Lynch.

I'm going with Denver for a few reasons.

1) Experience at the QB position. This is Manning's 3rd trip to the SB and the pressure will be a non-issue for him. Wilson will feel it.

2) Denver's offense has a LOT of weapons - to many for the Seahawks to stop.

We have the #1 ranked D in the league in all major statistics and the #1 secondary in the league, period. Guess what's going to happen when Manning, who has to sit back there like a statue at his age, is going to go up against that D?

Wilson has already been the the playoffs twice and is now 3-1 in playoff games.

Who's been to more playoff games? Manning or Wilson?

Second, we're not talking playoffs, we're talking the SUPER BOWL. Whole different animal.

Third, if your pass rush is crap Manning will hold the ball and wait for someone to come open - and they will.

He's going to take what your defense gives him. When you're up to stop the run - he'll throw, if not, he'll call a run. Simple.

Denver's defense is going to have an easy gameplan - stop Lynch and force Wilson to make the throws. From what I've seen, he can't.

I'll stick with Manning.

that is everybody's game plan against Seattle and 15 teams this year have failed.

Eh, even still that ruling and the way it's called is very iffy. Essentially saying is it incidental or not. If you do it multiple times a game I think it goes beyond incidental, it's pretty calculated. They're just good at selling and it finding a loophole so that defenders hit them first. Very effective but also bordering on illegal and often times flat out illegal.

Of course it's calculated. Denver's running pick plays is a big part of their offense. But that doesn't make it illegal. They are very good at running them just on the border of illegal, much like Seattle's defense is very good at being physical with receivers on the border of illegal. Both teams are extremely good at what they do, that's why they're both in the Super Bowl.

And Denver has the #1 ranked O in the league in all major statistics and the #1 receiving corps in the league, period.

It truly is a matchup of strength on strength. I expect the Seahawks will get some stops, and I expect the Broncos will get some scores. Neither team is going to win that battle 100% of the time.

My answer wasn't one of the options.

The way the Seahawks players and personnel reacted......you would have thought they won the SB last night!

You've gotten bailed out by your D - and you got lucky a few times yesterday. That wont keep happening.

It's going to be a good game but I expect Denver to win.

What's Denver's D ranked at? So it's going to be a no brainer they can shutdown Beastmode?

It's strength vs strength. The difference will be what Seattle's offense can do vs Denver's defense. If Lynch has a good game then the Hawks will be hard to beat. Peyton hasn't seen a secondary like this. I'm pulling for the Peytons.

PS, I hate my avatar.

I don't recall saying anything about Denver's d. Not sure how that's relevant to what you quoted.

Maybe you could work out a deal and change it to this:

The BRONCOS win this fairly easily.

The 49ers would have been a worse matchup.

The only real weakness of Denver is the mediocre pass defense.
They are a smothering and dominant run defense.

Denver can be beaten with a great quarterback and dominant wide receivers.

Seattle is literally the best possible matchup of all the NFC teams (including GB/Philly/NO/Car).

Seattle cannot throw that well. Their passing game is average to bad at times.

Denver wins by 10+.
