Need to see the weather forecast before I make the call.

I give Seattle the edge regardless.

Defense wins championships guise.

Broncos HAVE a legit D AND O...Seattle doesn't!

Broncos D is nothing special in my book. They really aren't.

If any D can shut Manning down, it's Seattle. JMHO

And Seattle's O while streaky can be extremely potent.

Broncos just won it. Seattle is not intimidating outside Seattle. Broncos beat them pats. Was hoping for 49ers Pats. Ratings won't be high, proves the nfl ain't rigged

LMAO You're certainly no Richard Sherman when it comes to self congratulations, but at least you have the short memory of a CB.

Thanks, bro. I appreciate the compliment. I owe it to the guys on the Hoop to help them make money. Not Vcash, but real hard cash. The kind you can buy cool things with, like bass boats and lap dances.

Did you see the game? Both teams had their first strings out the entire first half playing hard. Of course things can change, but it still would seem to indicate Seattle is more than capable of stopping Peyton.
it indicates nothing..to suggest that a pre season game is in any way an indication of how teams match up is pure and simple idiotic

Did you see the Redskins in the preseason? Their offense looked impressive and went 4-0. Tell me again how the preseason has any relevance on the regular/post season.

The difference is Denver's offense is much more consistent. And their defense is playing better than they have all year.

I will play along since I know you are not stupid enough to count preseason games as anything.

Manning played 5 series in that game:

Series 1 - 3 and out, 8 yards.
Series 2 - Drove right down the field and Julius Thomas fumbled at the Seattle 38.
Series 3 - 9 plays, 80 yards, Touchdown
Series 4 - 14 plays, 79 yards, RB Hillman fumbled on Seattle 1 and ran back for TD.
Series 5 - 4 plays, unsportsmanlike conduct on Denver essentially ending drive.

So Manning shredded them on 3 drives of 5.

I already saw a half of Seattle versus Denver this year. Seattle won handily.

Week 2 of the pre-season when most teams run base packages and just try to get personnel groupings to work on timing.

Defenses usually don't blitz and you don't show any formations or plays you will use in the regular season.

Yea, that is a sure indication of how this game will go.

Should I have said "Manning and company"?

The preseason game where both teams played their first-teamers the entire fist half, were trash talking, and both wanted to make a statement about how they belonged as Super Bowl favorites isn't conclusive, but it provides as much insight into the matchup as most regular season games. I absolutely believe that, yes.

Denver is the clear favorite because their offense is just as good on the road as it is at home. Seattle is clearly better on defense at home than the road. Also, Denver IMO has a better defense than Seattle has of offense.

Seattle has 2 ways they can win this game. A) If they can make game changing turnovers or B) if they can sustain long lasting drives keeping Manning off the field.

Denver will get their yards. Only 3 times were they held under 400 yards all year. Only once under 300 and it was 295. In that game, San Diego had time of possession of almost 40 minutes.

My prediction is Denver 27 Seattle 20

Manning came out with 6:42 to go in the half. I mean, I am looking right at the game log. Wilson did play 2 more series, and thus the whole first half.

But even if you really took that game seriously, Manning drove the ball at will. There were 2 fumbles when Denver was driving that changed the score. Preseason, slopply play happens. Plus the game was in Seattle.

I would be more worried about the 34 points and over 450 yards that Indy hung on Seattle in a REAL GAME this year. Luck is a worse version of a pure pocket Manning.

I see you read the box score. I actually watched the game and the Seahawks were pounding them. They were crying about the physicality of the game.

I watched that game too. It was broadcasted live on NFL Network. I remember 2 game changing fluke plays that escalated the score. Then they stopped caring and put in subs.

We'll see. I can't lose. Either Russell or Montee is getting a ring. I'd prefer it to be Russell, but both of those guys are very important to me. They helped make my Senior year of college (a stressful time with law school apps, a Senior thesis, and the like) that much better. They both had a rightful championship taken away by special teams and coaching fuckups, so at least one of them will get to experience a big time title.
