Sherman's little tantrum pretty much painted the Seahawks as the villains in the SB. Expect the otherwise neutral fans to support Denver. I expect the Broncos to win, but chicanery on the part of the zebras can always leave room for doubt.

I really like a lot of seattles players. Even Sherman with his poor social skills would be welcomed on my team. Having said that, I'm pulling for arguably the best QB of all time to get his 2nd ring and silence some of the criticism.

1 thing I don't like about Denver is they constantly use illegal picks. You saw it yesterday with Welker, anytime they are on the goalline they have 3 guys line up next to each other and then it's nothing but illegal picks until somebody is open. It'll be fun to watch the Seattle secondary throwing their weight around to counter that.

Should I have said "Manning and company"?

The preseason game where both teams played their first-teamers the entire fist half, were trash talking, and both wanted to make a statement about how they belonged as Super Bowl favorites isn't conclusive, but it provides as much insight into the matchup as most regular season games. I absolutely believe that, yes.

Denver was not trash talking and weren't trying to make any kind of Super Bowl statement. For crying out loud, they had a fumble on the goal line by Ronnie Hillman. Do you know the last time he even dressed for a game?

I don't know who will win, but I know looking at the preseason results as any indication is incredibly asinine.

Stop Lynch and make Wilson scamble all over the joint...EAZAY MONEY GIRLZ!

Don't you think 15 of the teams that lost this year to the Hawks had the same formula?

That will be fun to watch, I highly doubt Welker is going to want to throw a pick against Chancellor

Seattle was up 33-7 at the half in that game too. But that has no bearing on how the Superbowl will play out what so ever. If Denver wins, I will congratulate them as I have with other teams that have beaten the Seahawks this year.

Ahhhhh an old school AFC West rivalry matchup. I know Elway is loving this.

No they don't, they are expert at running legal picks, aka rubs. Here's an article that really breaks it down and does a great job of explaining it.

Patriots, Broncos excel at running pick plays, which are mostly legal | The MMQB with Peter King

Eh, even still that ruling and the way it's called is very iffy. Essentially saying is it incidental or not. If you do it multiple times a game I think it goes beyond incidental, it's pretty calculated. They're just good at selling and it finding a loophole so that defenders hit them first. Very effective but also bordering on illegal and often times flat out illegal.

Every team has pick/rub plays in their playbook. You don't like that they are good at it?

DENVER

Take nothing away from SEA...outstanding DEF.

My reason for DEN...the DEN DEF vs SEA OFC...they can control Lynch running inside when #94 is on the field...Tate is good, but imo not enough weapons overall...you can effectively blitz Wilson.

SEA DEF vs DEN OFC...The DEN OL along with PM's anticipation makes it hard to put a lot of pressure on him unless the OL is just getting whipped upfront and I don't see that happening on a consistent basis...Best back 4 in the game vs the best WR/TE corp...if the OL does their job vs the 4 man DL, Manning is going to find the mismatch, and I think they will score 21 to 24 pts.

I think SEA is going to need to bring more than 4 to get to PM and DEN will make more big plays.

24-17 Broncos

They use it quite a bit. For the record I'm pulling for the Broncos. It's still kind of a bs ruling though, completely favors the offense whereas essentially 0 contact is permitted by the D in those same situations.

Seattle's D is going to absolutely wreck Manning.

And Broncos's D would be considered one of the worst in the NFC.

Unless Goodell orders the refs to fix the game to make sure Manning gets another ring out the door, Seattle is going to blow up the Donkeys.

Final score:

Seahawks 38 - Donkeys 17

Completely agree. I'm going 31-17 Broncos.

I would consider the Saints and 9ers defense to be better than what Denver is trotting out there and they couldn't stop Lynch.

Percy Harvin, fingers crossed, should be out there to give RW another weapon. That is if Harvin doesn't get hurt in the 1st quarter....

Your point in bold is the best chance you guys have...SEA must knock PM around, get a turnover, etc. to win. As bad as they have looked at times, I think you under estimate the DEN. On the flip...those DEN OL know that if they do their job, they have a pretty good chance of scoring on every drive.

Denver is the clear favorite because their offense is just as good on the road as it is at home. Seattle is clearly better on defense at home than the road. Also, Denver IMO has a better defense than Seattle has of offense.

Seattle has 2 ways they can win this game. A) If they can make game changing turnovers or B) if they can sustain long lasting drives keeping Manning off the field.

Denver will get their yards. Only 3 times were they held under 400 yards all year. Only once under 300 and it was 295. In that game, San Diego had time of possession of almost 40 minutes.

My prediction is Denver 27 Seattle 20

That's just false. Look up the splits. Seattle's defense is better on the road.

Results are about what I thought they'd be 37 for Denver, 39 for Seattle. Pretty even split.

I hope the game is that close as well, and it should be.

The Seahawks offense hasn't looked that great in their 2 post season games, it was their defense that saved them. Can that defense stop the Denver offense? That's where the game is, IMHO. Denver is going to try to put up points in a hurry to get Seattle out of the run game and abandon Lynch.

I'm going with Denver for a few reasons.

1) Experience at the QB position. This is Manning's 3rd trip to the SB and the pressure will be a non-issue for him. Wilson will feel it.

2) Denver's offense has a LOT of weapons - to many for the Seahawks to stop.
