last I checked every team in sports looks to make money - having a superstar to ride helps - as they're not a 501-C. In the avg sports fan/consumer, giving $48 mill to a 35 yr old is ludicrous at best. If you're the Buss family, with what he's brought to the team and enriched their coffers million times over, coupled with the TWC stash, is a drop in the bucket.
