Why is someone that is obviously obsessed with Boston sports so involved with Redskins talk? Trolling?

Regurgitating national media talking points to people who religiously follow the details of this organization ... this should end well.

Meh, some interesting cultural points, but if I was interested in that subject, Whitlock isn't one of the writers I'd look to for an informed, well written article.

Fact is, all any of us truly know is what we SEE on the field. Whitlock doesn't know Griffin or how he prepares any more than the rest of us. Has Griffin regressed this season? Absolutely. So has every single facet of the organization, top to bottom. We were joking at the Atlanta game with some Falcons fans(really good folks by the way, all that we met) that the one unit on our team that has really stepped up this year was our trainers, but I digress.

If Griffins' work ethic wasn't off the charts, he wouldn't have been in a position to start at the beginning of this season. If he wasn't humble, he wouldn't have spent the hundreds of hours in rehab. Just because he couldn't physically participate in off season activities and training camp doesn't mean his nose wasn't in the books, or that his butt wasn't in the seats during team meetings.

You are a fool that hasn't a clue what you are talking about. You just have a man crush on RG3 (kinda creepy) and come on here to say we haven't done enough to protect him. And this is coming from someone that is pro RG3. But wasn't that the same OL that blocked for Kirk on Sunday and gave up how many sacks?

The truth of the matter is that when Shanahan got here, the franchise was in shambles. His first year, we were already over the cap with the oldest roster in the league. and he had one 1st round pick and not another pick until the 4th. He had to gut the team just to get under the cap. His second year wasn't much better, again, no real draft picks until the later rounds. Finally in, his third year, we were out of cap hell, or so we thought. We trade a shit load of our picks for RG3 and then get hit with a $36M cap penalty. So we don't have any money to sign any FAs for the last 2 years, nor do we have any high draft picks. SO how the fuck was he supposed to upgrade the talent on a talentless team without draft picks or without money to spend in FA? Yet, with all of these limitations, we have added, during Shanahan's regime, a PB caliber OLB (kerrigan), a PB caliber QB, a PB caliber RB and a future PBer TE (Reed). We also have a potential high caliber CB (Amerson) added this last year and we have a perennial PB player at LT (Williams, we do have one good OL) and OLB (Orakpo) We also will most likely have a PB CB this year (Hall) for which Shanahan reduced his salary by 50% by cutting him and re-signing him. SO to say the franchise is worse than when he came is pure ignorance. And this lesson comes from you from a guy that thinks Shanahan should be fired. Lesson over. Go home and learn to do some research before you shoot you mouth off.

Nicely done. People outside of the organization and the fanbase simply have no concept of the limitations and roadblocks that have been assessed to this team since Shanny got here. He's certainly made mistakes, and he may be gone after the season, but he's never had a stable off-season, or been afforded the total resources that other teams(who in fact benefited in multiple ways from our cap money) were given. The culture has changed, and it's undeniable. The organizational direction has changed as well, and that too is undeniable.

The culture has changed. The assessment and acquisition of personnel has changed. The organizational direction has changed as well, and that too is undeniable. Economically, the Skins will be well ahead of the curve next season. Shanny may be gone, but his successor steps into a much more enviable position than what he was given when he got here.

Not a single one. But the patriots have areas of need too. Just not every single one.
