I take a lot of pride in that. I do. People could probably criticize that I’m a little too honorable, I suppose, in some instances. I've been a firm believer my whole life that what goes around comes around. If you’re one of those guys that suckers someone when they’re down or you go after somebody that doesn’t deserve it or isn’t the same category as you, that will come back and bite you at some point, too. I also take a lot of pride in the fact that I can play 8-12 minutes a night. I’ve had to work extremely hard on that part of my game to bring more to the table than just fighting. That’s part of my game, but I can do a lot more.

There's no way that anyone can condone what Thornton did, I just wonder how much the Habs - Bruins game two days ago and seeing Boychuk stretchered off the ice combined with the stuff that happened tonight played into things? Glad to hear that Orpik is alert and conscious.

I love Shawn Thornton for what he brings in toughness and code but he broke that tonight and hit a guy who was down. The only other time I have seen him do this was Matt Cooke after the Savard hit which every hockey fan in the world stood up and clapped.

BTW was that the Penguins that Cooke played for?

In any case Shawn broke his own rules tonight and hopefully Orpik is ok.

Yeah what Neal did was pretty bonehead also and better get suspended.

I doubt it will be for as much, not because he is a Penguin and I am a fan of the Penguins, but due to the fact that his occurred during the play and other was after the whistle and I think Thorton came from the bench?

Let me add to the amount of games is not that because it occurred during the play made it more excusable just looking at the context of the NHL in general and past suspensions.

I have said that Thronton should get a suspension for that stuff but has he ever been suspended before?

I dont recall anything the guy has done that got him a suspension so question is: Is he a 1st time offender?
