The Ravens didn't run the wildcat because of Flacco's ineffectiveness. They ran the wildcat because of the historically bad offensive line they have right now. 2.9 ypc.

The Jets played a good bit of snaps with only 6 in the box. The Ravens still couldn't run the ball.

I understand the OL is playing below par but watching Flacco in games this year he is just completely missing guys wide open. I remember when Green Bay used to have a horrible line for Aaron Rodgers and he was running for his life but still put up great numbers so even the great quarterbacks can make up for a lackluster line. Look at Peyton Manning this season who is playing without his All-Pro Left Tackle and starting Center. He has as he has done his whole career learned to get rid of the football quickly to make up for any deficiencies in the OL.

I understand he is not Peyton Manning. He is being paid like he is Peyton Manning though so the expectations of him leading the team to victory even if there is lackluster play from the OL is expected. Other great quarterbacks in the league have done it and when you are being paid like you are one of those guys then he is performing well below what is expected of him at this point.
