Has Jimmy Graham passed Rob Gronkowski as the best TE in the league?

Faster, but not quite as big as Gronk, and Graham. In fairness to Davis, he hasn't played with a QB on the same level as Brady, and Brees. When it comes down to Gronk & Graham...kind of a coin toss, but I think Graham would be my pick.

Yes, Megatron puts up outstanding #s, but no a ton of TDs for that many catches...Graham is a scoring machine.

You can't go wrong with Gronk or Graham. I also agree regarding the quality of QB throwing to each, but Davis has been in the NFL for almost a decade now and has yet to reach 1000 yards and only has more than 7 tds once in his career.

With Calvin Johnson -- I agree he needs to put it in the end zone more. Last year was kind of a fluke season, as he was tackled at the 1 yard line 6 times (of which, all 6 times Mikel LeShoure scored the TD on the next play). It is crazy what teams are doing to him once the Lions are in the red zone (specifically inside the 10) -- multiple teams have started lining up not one, but two CBs at the line of scrimmage on him. It looks like he is the gunner on a punt trying to get down the field. People know though that they can single cover all the other options for Detroit, so taking Megatron out of the play is what they are doing.

Either make a relevant point or go ramble to someone else.

Apparently you didn't understand so I'll simplify it. Gronk was always ahead of Graham, never the counter.
Do you get the analogy yet or must I give an even more simplified answer?

The last year Gronk was better was 2010. Graham has been better for over a year now. Did you just crawl out from under a rock?

Your analogy was utter nonsense and completely irrelevant.

I'm not being a homer with this one; I think Vernon Davis is the best (most talented) TE in the league when healthy. And if he had Brees or Brady throwing to him, he'd have 1500 receiving yards IMO.

dont sell yourself short, you're a fine little homer

Gronk
2011 Patriots 16 16 90 1327 14.7 52 17 1 2 2.0 1 0 0

2012 Patriots 11 11 55 790 14.4 41 11 0 0 0.0 0 1 1

Graham
2011 Saints 16 11 99 1310 13.2 59 11 0 0 0.0 0 1 1

2012 Saints 15 9 85 982 11.6 46 9 0 0 0.0 0 1 0

Even last year Gronk was the better player in 4 less games. Where did you get the '10 nonsense?

Ypc and TD's are pretty impressive if you ask me. Average it out per game, "Money." You are saying its been three years since he was the better TE. When he's healthy, he's the best TE. There is absolutely no debate. We can move on because this conversation is over.

Yep. 2011 they were 1A and 1B. It's been Graham ever since.

You can keep pulling out the injury card, but that doesn't play here.

There's too small of a sample to say much yet. Especially when Peyton's third receiver has made the pro bowl 5 years running.

As for witten, in his prime he still didn't compare.

Over 900 receptions as a TE. You guys are insane saying he doesn't even compare. I understand that he's a Cowboy, but still. This is just blind hatred. Show some respect for an all time great. Wow

110 rec last season. You sure you want to stick with your statement?

Absolutely. He's solid as a possession guy and Dallas doesn't have any weapons. But if money were no issue and you took witten over anyone mentioned in this thread (but Julius Thomas), you would be fired.
