I think the Rangers will be somewhat tainted if they beat the Rays. If a player is suspended for what amounts to the rest of the season, that should also include the playoffs. The Tigers got Jhonny Peralta back too.

The process needs to be fixed.In the case with A-Rod: he appeals the suspension and gets to play the rest of the season. His appeal should have been heard immediately with a swift decision.

But none of these three teams is a legit contender, Tampa has a weak pen, Texas doesn't have the rotation, and Cleveland's cream puff tour is over.

I agree. I can't see the Rays losing with Price on the hill, but I hope they do. I don't want any part of Price and Matt Moore in the post-season.

I saw that Alex Cobb will pitch against Danny Salazar Wednesday if the the Rays win tonight. That means that Matt moore could pitch on regular rest on Friday gainast the Sox.

I know there is some Sox bias at work here, but the intent of the wild card "play in" was to give the division winning teams an advantage by having the wild card teams use their better starters in the wild card game. Now, if the Rays advance to the ALDS, they will have their best pitcher on the hill for game 1.

The Division Series' should start the very next day and in the case with Tampa and Texas, who have to play 2 games, they should have to play 3 consecutive days, with the ALDS starting on Wednesday. Why is there a day off in between the wild card games? Bullshit, if you ask me.
