Two guys already mentioned- Doug Baldwin and Marlon Brown I have a good hunch about. Also, I think the Broncos will make an extra effort to get Eric Decker involved this week- 10 targets and a TD assuming he doesn't drop another one.

:agree:

OK, so honestly..............

Bradford scores 25+ fantasy points this week.............
Hartline does keep it going especially in PPR- 8 catches, 90+ and a score.
Dallas Clark lead all TE's with 14 targets................but ends with 7 catches, 86 yards and actually holds on to the ball in the endzone.
Steve Smith: 8-121-2.
Nicks and Cruz combine for 300+ yards and 4 TD's.............but Decker,Thomas and Thomas combine for 400+ and 5 scores.....................in other words play ALL of your Giants and Donkeys this week unless they line up behind the QB. Hell, Wilson might break a long one........fart that is.

Arian Foster; who the hell knows what is gonna happen there? Seeing him dance on the sidelines last week made me feel pretty good actually as it looked like he was saying I'll be losing this job over my dead body! Looking at YPC Tate smoked him but Foster did get 3-4 short yardage looks that skewed his numbers IMO.
Well every once in a while I get one right...............but just one. And only once in a while.

Houston Texans RB Arian Foster was frustrated with the way the coaches limited his workload in their Week 1 victory over the San Diego Chargers. "It's getting to crunch time, it's the fourth quarter and you want to be out there. But this is kind of how it played out. In my opinion, you would be concerned with a player that's happy he's not in there in the last minutes of the game when the game is on the line," Foster said.

Funny, that comes on the heels of the coaches saying they were wrong to not give Ben Tate more touches.. could get interesting.

Tavon Austin will be showcased and shows you how it feels to make a real NFL defense look like the three stooges!

Yup; maybe grabbing Tate in the 6th wasn't such a bad move after all.................if he was to get the nod he would be better than anybody else that was there for me. Still feels like a wasted pick though.

I have seen the names of Baldwin having a good game and Decker being more involved(you gotta hang onto the ball for Peyton to trust you).

I have James Jones, Decker, and Andre Roberts(who I just Picked up) active so far. I also have Baldwin on my bench and want to get him in there. Was Jones' performance, or lack there of, a whacky occurrence or a sign of things to come?

To get Baldwin in, who would you sit, Jones or Decker?

Personally, I think it would be foolish to do either.

I guess I didn't leave the option of letting the original 3 ride and sit Baldwin.

Thanx

You should never base fantasy football off of hunches. Thats how you get burned. I had a hunch KT was going to break out last night, but I didnt start him.

On any given Monday (or Friday or Tuesday) you can always say that..you can also say that always start your studs is the way to get bunrt when your bench scores more than your starters...or you could say always go with your gut when one of your hunches paid off.
personally I'll play my hunches, cuz its more fun that way, win or lose. Luckily I won more often than I loss most years.

Ill say Steve Smith or Cam Newton because the Pass D in Buffalo is terrible.

Matt Forte because after what Bush did I can see Forte repeating that
DeShawn Jackson against the Chargers.

Pryor against the Jags

Glad I resisted my "hunch" to start KT last night. Hopefully Sanders, Moreno, or Austin can do more than he did last night, but I still feel pretty uncertain about which of the three is most likely to do so!

Austin should have a big game. I think Dez Bryant's injury is worse than they are letting off and it will slow him down.

I wait for players to actually have a big game before I start them. Random question. Where do you usually place in fantasy leagues? I'm in two money leagues every year and I always make the playoffs in at least one of the two leagues.

P.S. I mean no disrespect by my question. I only joined this board to learn more about good strategies for fantasy football.

I can answer a little for Treff - he's one of the guys in the Message Board Braggin' Rights League (now in year three), and most of us also play in money leagues and as far as I can tell usually make the playoffs. In the MBBRL last year Treff smoked everybody in regular season points.

And Treff doesn't build his starting roster on crazy hunches - every once in a while he might go with a surprising pick, but that's it. These "hunches" probably have their roots in knowledge and research anyway.

Thanks Will.

To answer the question, I've never finished worst than third in any money league. . and outside of a horrible showing in the inaugural MBBRL , never worse than third in a free league that I actually stuck around to seriously manage.
And Will is right, my hunches are based on reasonable observations and not just, "well I sure hope so and so has a good game"..perhaps educated guess would be a better term than hunch? ;)

Although, barring a miracle, this season of MBBRL is going to humble me once more :(
