RG3 wasnt ready

They came damn close to a win, and the eagles put solid pressure on RG3 during the comeback. It was not solely a prevent defense.

Nah - that is not my point. I would consider benching someone (anyone) at a time like that - especially if it was a blowout - since their mind would probably be a mess (& they might want to take a seat). I don't see this happening on this team. Anyhow - doesn't matter - it is water under the bridge at this time. The Redskins need to build off the 2nd half of last nights game & play that way for an entire game.

There is no possible way for him to get "ready" but to play. The exact same thing happens if you wait until week 10 to play him.

I forgot about the return game.......starting each drive from the 12 yard line, when we should have downed the ball in the endzone......sheesh. Last night was DEFINITELY a total team fail.

I disagree. With three more weeks of practice and facing the Raiders he would have been fine. There would be rust but we would still win b/c we have a better team and wouldn't be going against a brand new nfl offense. .

JDM we can beat the Raiders with Grossman at QB. You fail to realize we gave up a lot of points b/c our defense was constantly on the field. If you cant get first downs you are done against a chip Kelly offense. I refuse to acknowledge that the Eagles are a better team than us. Im sorry.

That guy Thompson looked awful. Not sure if he has potential, but if he keeps playing like that he will be on the street soon. He had one fair catch at the 5 yd line - who does that?

Yup, like a hockey goalie who just doesn't have it. If it is that bad, save em from themselves.

But RG3 was just rusty. You don't come back from a major injury, get little playing time, and jump right back to NFL speed...especially in your 2nd year.

You also have to remember that nobody in the NFL saw this offense until last night. Just the way it worked out for the Redskins. It will probably be different in the months ahead as teams are able to better prepare for the Eagles. Also - cmon - you have to give some credit to the other guys. It doesn't mean you have to state that they are a better team, but a lot of the results were based on good play by the Eagles. How about a little objectivity?

Yes and no. I'm sure they studied Oregon's O all off season. It could simply be the Skins don't have the personal right now to defend the QB, TE and RB all at the same time every play. Just look at the Niner-Packers game. The Pack still can't figure them out.

socalwizfan we made there defense look like the best defense in the NFL. McCoy and Vick are good players but cmon it was the product of an inept offense from the skins. I thought we gave them the game in the first half.

OMG! This looks like the Dallas board. A Fan post his opinion and we jump on him. The only good part is we at least treated him like a fan and not accuse him of being a Dallas fan with a different name trying to get us all riled up.

Dean brings up some good points, but I look at it all differently. I think RGIII was ready to do everything he was doing last year and they wanted to hold him back. If he is 100% healthy then let him RUN. In the second half he ran for a first down and we had a first complete drive that ended in a miss FG, but every drive after we did some good things. I think we abandoned the run too early. We are a run first team. We can score quickly even when we run the ball. This would have slowed down the pass rush and we might have had some bigger plays. In the first half we started to press our selves to get back into the game. If we would have just settled down and ran a couple of option plays and get RG3 into the game that way we would have been alright. We waited too long to let him use his legs to get him in the game. After he had his first run all the mechanic problems were gone and he was making good decisions. He can not help it if the guys around him drop the ball.

I feel that we will be ready for GB. When I went through our schedule for the year GB I had as a loss. Now we just need to look at what we did wrong and fix it and move on with the season.

of course I did. JDM you don't realize that the defense was on the field way too much in this game b/c of inept offense. That is the whole point of this game. RG3 played like crap and should be called out. many others besides myself believe that rg3 was not ready for this game.

You get just as far behind and don't have any chance at all to make it back up with cousins as your QB. You also still have to handle getting RG3 back into playing comfortably and probably deal with tension among the team

There is literally no chance (0%) of any upside to playing cousins.
