Good ole Greer my man! And trust me...others from the board I jumped over from will tell you I have zero problem being sarcastic, taking sarcasm, or having fun

It is what I do best.

Wow, we's half-related...I was born in Gaffney, but grew up in Lancaster. I'm glad my family moved me away from Giant-Butt-In-The-Sky-town. They have a baaaad rep.

If somebody can find a video of Bama fans rushing the field... ever... plz post it. I can't remember ever seeing our fans rush the field. I think we just expect to win...

I think there's a very rational and simple explanation for that:

I think there's a highway that leads you to Cowpens. That's still good.

My dad used to take us to the re-enactments there, when they had them. I remember going to the 200 year anniversary event. Also went to King's Mountain a lot. We're a big war-buff family.

what's your point? it still takes away from the important wins. most schools wait for an important win which makes it all the more special, you guys do it for every win. imo that takes away from the importance and fun of rushing the field

It's a tradition; been doing it for decades now regardless of the outcome of the game.

i understand that but i think you're missing my point. it is my opinion that it's a stupid tradition because it takes away from the big wins or upsets. rushing the field should not be an every game type thing, it should be reserved for important wins.

obvious it is not stupid because it is some of the best memories of games I can ever remember. As I said...there is a difference in going out on the field after the game and storming the field after a big win.

You can feel a difference in atmosphere

Your point is that you think a tradition of another school is stupid; perhaps if you had done a little more digging, you would realize that the fans "rush" the field when we win big games. The tradition is that people gather at the middle of the field after the game regardless of the outcome. Maybe you should be happy that your rival got beat instead of trying to speak on things about which you don't understand.

This.

I've been on the field after games in Memorial Stadium, it's a cool thing, see some old friends from high school, your neighborhood, or your church, maybe get some pics with a player or coach. Plus you might get on TV. It's different from an emotionally charged crush after a tense, last-second win.

But still, that WAS a big win on Saturday night. Georgia was top ten, from the Evil Empire SEC, and they live just across the lake from Clemson. Go ahead and "storm" the field.

It beats going back to your trailer! (sorry, can't resist...)

Are they for the Western Carolina game? I want to make sure I'm there when the Tiger fans storm the field, and this looks like the best bet the rest of the season.
