You don't know that at all.

And also, without a weapon, it's still circumstantial evidence. Obviously all the fingers point to him, but it would be naive to think this case is open and shut. I wouldn't be shocked at all to see him found not guilty of 1st degree.

Yeah, we kinda do know this.

When the story broke last year the NFL network stayed on top of it - and was reporting what the police had on him since they needed a warrant for his arrest.

They reported everything I laid out.

The thread asked what's the hold up on the Hernandez case - and it's because they're taking their time to get their ducks in a row.

What gets me is why Hernandez isn't pushing this. He's entitled to a speedy and fair trial. If he can force the prosecution to go earlier than they want, he might make them throw up a bad case. The longer it takes the more time prosecutors have to make their case air tight.

Hernandez is probably running County and is stalling to stay out of state prison til he has more power. Dude is going to either run shit in prison or die trying.

He didnt have 3 witness that were present and saw Aaron pull the trigge from what I hearr. No circumstantial evidence there. They'd like to link him to the multiple murders prior in Boston

Yea, but those witnesses are all part of the crime, aren't they?...no doubt it looks real bad for AH, and I think he's going down for this, but the legal system is strange.

True but if they all giving matching statements, while being interrogated, its tough to overcome. You'd figure the guy with the money would payoff 2 of those guys to finger the other one, along with Aaron

I agree...it doesn't look good for AH to go unscathed here, he's going to do some time, but my point is it might take more than their testimony (given they were part of it) for a conviction of 1st deg murder. I can see AH's high priced attorneys making them look bad on the stand and creating a little doubt with a jury.

Kind of strange they never found the murder weapon...that would seal it for the DA.

Hey, it looked like a rock-solid circumstantial case against Casey Anthony too. I will never underestimate the ability of US juries to get it wrong.

Looks like the guy is guilty as hell, but he has enough money to attack everything the police did along the way and every prosecutorial slip. For now I say he's at least got a chance to walk, like most rich folks.

Weird that it did a double post. They thought the cousin ( big butch type ) had it and then thought it was in a Bristol CT lake or something. I think jury will convict him quick. Find body near house, last person seen that night with victim, broken video camera broken in house

The difference being that this is not a circumstantial case. The prosecutor has direct evidence that ties him to the murder, can prove he was there, & has multiple eyewitness accounts of the crime. Just because you don't have the murder weapon, that doesn't make it a circumstantial case.

True. I knew the first guys in the country that convicted of murder without a body. Pari and Merola. They each did like 10 years or so. Pari on his deathbed, confessed where they buried Joe"onions' Scanlon. They dug up concrete in East Prov RI and found his remains

Indicted for two more murders. Can't wait for the update from Rolling Stone.

Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of two men in Boston in 2012.

The indictment was confirmed Thursday by Boston Police spokeswoman Neva Coakley.

Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado were shot to death while stopped at a traffic light by someone who drove up next to them in an SUV and opened fire, the Boston Globe reported.*

Boston police wrote in an affidavit there is probable cause to believe that Hernandez was driving a vehicle used in the shooting and "may have been the shooter."

The victims allegedly encountered Hernandez in a Boston nightclub.*

The charges raise the disturbing possibility that Hernandez played games during the 2012-2013 season after murdering two men, the Boston Globe reported.*

Hernandez is being held without bail after pleading not guilty to murder in the unrelated death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd in North Attleboro.

The pre-draft background check process isn't thorough and things get through the cracks. I can't blame the Patriots when he could have ended up with one of 31 other NFL franchises, coaches and front office personnel can over look off the field issues for immense football talent.

Sonny, did the cops just recently find it? I thought they were still on the hunt for it?

Exactly, 31 teams passed on this 1-st Round talent because of his character. Except the Patriots.

By "isn't thorough" you're referring to the ex-FBI Special Agents that do background checks? Just exactly how many arrests and/or accusations of drugs and violence that were front page news in Gainesville did the Patriots not know of?

If you believe that, read the story.
