Okay, I'd like to gather thoughts, as I've been flip flopping on what to do in my money league. 12 team, (QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR/TE, TE, K, DST). 6 point QB pass.

Slow draft for the 1st round (along with draft pick choice)

Team 1 - A. Peterson
Team 2 - D. Martin
Team 3 - T. Richardson
Team 4 - A. Morris (I know, wow!)
Team 5 - D. Brees (original team dropped to pick #8)
Team 6 - ?
Team 7 - ?
Team 8 - ?
Team 9 - ?
Team 10 ??? (Not sure what 6 will do, Spiller won't get passed 7, McCoy at 8 is likely, Calvin at 9 a maybe)
Team 11 ???
Team 12 ???

Question 1: Is there a scenario with the next four picks that would make you drop back to 11 or 12?
Question 2: If Foster is still there, what would you do? or Calvin?
Question 3: Is there a player you're praying gets to you?

I've been sliding towards going WR/WR with my first two picks. I like the value of the RB's at the 3/4 turn, and those in the 5th as well. I'm really starting to think top 10 receivers win championships... or at least get you there with their consistency.

Bang away gentlemen

Bing, boom... as I finished writing, I refreshed my league and Team 6 selected Jamaal Charles, and as I predicted, Spiller didn't get passed 7. Two picks left, change anyone's mind?

If Lynch somehow gets to you, grab him. I don't subscribe to the theory of grabbing the best QB or WR if all that is left is the 9th or 10th best RB. Get the RB. If it is a snake draft then grab the best RB like Lynch, Rice, or Charles. Charles could easily be there if pick #5 is already grabbing QB's.

edit: well darn, charles was a good pick. #6 is where I got him in one of my drafts too.

if foster is at 10 then i would jump on him... it is nice to get a probable elite player so late in the first round... If it pans out then your team has the big advantage over everyother team, since you can get calvin, brandon marshall or another elite WR in with the 15th pick... To have arguably the 2nd best RB and to have a top 3 WR is an insane start to a draft...

Foster - 1 vote

...I have to be honest, both scare me right now, even though I understand the value in both. I'm heavily leaning toward Calvin (he won't get by the turn), but if he's gone, moving back to the 12th pick might be an option that I really look into.

Put me down for Foster all day long.............however, do plan on grabbing Tate.

Dont go out of your way to get tate, you can get a montee ball type value a round earlier...

There goes Shady at 8, like I predicted (again). This might become a very difficult decision.

I for one do not think Foster is really hurt and feel they/he was kinda shamming but Tate in that offense with or without Foster would still be at least a flexplay if needed. Now if Foster was to go down and Tate named starter, where would you rank Tate? Top 10?

I honestly dont know that much about tate... 2 years ago he was a decent flex player, but last season he barely did anything... so if foster is not hurt then tate is too inconsistent to ever really start. If Foster misses games, i would still be careful because the texans still have andre johnson... I think a real injury to foster will mean that they utilize andre johnson more, of course tate will become a starting RB but i would not have him in my top 10... I think he would be an elite RB2...

I would go Foster then Lynch. If both are there when it's your turn to pick, I would consider sliding back to 11th instead of 10th since you know one would be there and you would get a quicker 2nd round pick. You could match him up with either Dez or A.J. at the turn if Calvin is gone. And when it comes to winning leagues with elite receivers, I can tell you that in one league I have Calvin Johnson (1st round), Dez Bryant (2nd round), and Roddy White (4th round) and I hate my team. My two starting running backs are Reggie Bush and David Wilson and there is something so disconcerting about looking at your team and not feeling even remotely safe with your running back situation.

Foster. I have him in one of my keeper leagues and have been thinking of trading him. Then yesterday I really started thinking and I just can't believe he's gonna have a huge drop off, so I stopped those thoughts of trading him. He's still only 26(maybe 27, I dunno) so he's still got years in him. People talk about his carries but Lynch and AP have a lot of carries as well. RBs that are good are gonna get used more.

So I'd say ya gotta grab Foster. He could be a steal at 10

I'd go with Foster as well, I picked 10th in the B league and glad I grabbed McCoy because once the 3rd and 4th rounds got to me there weren't any RB's left. You can grab Foster and then still get Julio/B Marshall/D Thomas/Dez with your 2nd round pick

Tate was battling injury last year (hammy?) and that's why they ran Foster into the ground. Here are Tate's numbers from the "Anti-Awesomeness" year.

Week 1 Start 24-116-1
Week 2 Start 23-103-0
Week 17 Start 16-97-1

Here are 2 other weeks where they sat Foster in the 2nd half.

Week 7 15-104
Week 9 12-115-1

Now I get that is only 5 out of 16 weeks but the dude can be a stud if needed. I'll daft him this year in my keeper for sure (I have Foster). I would say those numbers as a starter would put him right at top 10-12 area.

I am not saying not to draft him... i just think with foster being a question mark, tate is being drafted too early... in many 12 team leagues he is being chosen in the 5th or 6th round... that is the same time that RBs who actually may start are going... I would rather have montee ball or even darryl richardson than him...

Gosh, I think you guys just got me back on track with Arian. I can't pass him up at 10? So I'm sure he'll be picked next, so I can start to debate my original plan, aka Megatron.

If no Foster, I'd take Megatron and hope for Lynch/Forte on the way back.

That's where I'm at right now. Not so sure Lynch or Rice will make it back to me, so I'll have to decide between a top 5 WR, Forte, S-Jax or the rest. Even if I have Calvin, I still might double up at WR.

Thanks guys. You've restored my faith in Foster.

Dang, Rice still there... I like Rice this year. Looks like you stand a good chance to get two of Foster/Megatron/Rice/Lynch. That's good.
