Aaahhhh ... how can you lead off with a 3 run homer unless the opposing team left a couple of guys on base at the end of their half inning?!!! LOL!
Game over ... 5-2 final.

Everyone seems to love to hit Ian, I think he has the most HBP, then again, he won't exactly move out of the way if he's going to get a base. Not too long ago he was hit in the upper arm and when I saw the replay, I thought "what the hell Ian, how were you sure that wasn't going to hit you higher?"
He literally didn't even flinch, part of the reason I love the guy, he's a 100% gamer
Gentry same way with the HBP, doesn't move out of the way
Could be interesting, they hit Martin or someone else then we'll get, possibly a warning (no retaliation) and won't be able to throw back, which is fine with me....no free bases for the Angels.
I know, baseball blasphemy
Nah, not that early. We'd get a chance to retaliate.

Carlos Quentin gets hit more than anyone I know, unless you were strictly speaking about the Rangers, then yes Kinsler has been hit more than anyone in Rangers history
Carlos Quentin led the majors with 17 HBP in only 86 games last year
Without intending to ignite a firestorm ... is it good baseball to be using both AJ and Soto every night without a third catcher on the roster?
If it turns out that the current setup is winning games ... it might be wise to swap out someone on the roster for Chirinos to protect the current lineup.
I know who I would pick ... but doubt that happens. So does TEX management just cross its fingers and hope all works out ... or do they move E. Beltre back to AAA for the duration of Soto's hot streak?

Yup, talking about the Rangers.
But ouch Quentin...
Either way is really okay with me, but I have seen umps that assumed someone was hit on purpose warn the other team.
I guess it depends on how obvious it may or may not be
Who do we hit then? Of course everyone will say Hamilton, I'm not sure they would call that for him
who knows
123 HBP in 3092 PAs
Kinsler 56 in 4538
Agreed, if Profar isn't going to play pretty much everyday, then he needs to be in AAA IMO
Bench Murphy, play Beltre, at least for a few games
And bring up Chirinos as a 3rd catcher, if you're going to play AJ and Soto at the same time
Sadly, as long as Murphy is an option Wash is going to keep starting more often than not
just thought of an example, remember when KC hit Nellie last year because he supposedly admired his shot too long?....(then a little bench clearing)
we were warned not to retaliate, and I think Wash protested that warning
You hit Trumbo.
Yeah it happens, but the bench clearing was probably the reason for the warnings. If nelly had taken his base without incident there would've been no warnings issued till Texas retaliated.
