Dear Pierre Garcon,

You played great last year when you were around, but sadly you were hurt most of the year. Most of Redskins' nation is looking forward to seeing what you can do this season.

Before we do, we have one request - shut up!!!

You said "we have the potential to be the best offense ever." Really? Even if you know that to be the case, you don't say it. And I don't know what you have seen that would make you think that. Please, I doubt your even close to the Redskins best team ever. They had a Posse! What you got?

In any case, zip it. Lock it up. Close your pinhole. A little less conversation, a little more action.

We are two days end with two season-ending injuries and two guys suspended. Surely we don't need these kind of headlines or bullshit on top of it.

Who cares if the media runs with this statement. The mainstream sports media (& ESPN in particular) has become pretty much of an embarrassment at this time. Their overexposure of RG3 makes me cringe.

If the feeling is that this is "bulletin board material" & that opponents will use this as extra incentive then I believe that you are not giving enough credit to players. Any player that needs extra incentive to get up for an NFL game should not be in the league. I really have no issue with Garcon's comments.

Agree & they will be out of line. Everyone needs to chill out. This is the preseason & these things are going to happen. When members of the press continually shove microphones in your face (especially when you play on the same team as RG3) something like this is bound to happen. No big deal.

Shut up. Who cares if a prominent player on the team said they have the POTENTIAL to be offense ever. How does this affect you, the team, or anything else? What headlines did it grab exactly?

Its good to see after many years good players on the team excited about the offense. The Redskins had very good offense last year and can grow. We WANT this type of excitement out of our players and leaders. Being vocal shows that they are proud and are buying into what they are doing.

Sincerely, Redskins fans who actually have a clue (not everywhere, pretty rare)

PS - If you want to complain about everything, be an Eagles fan

You got it. We have had similar conversations on things like this in the past. Like you stated a while ago - if we made similar statements in a bar we could clarify them & we would just laugh it off & shake hands in the end. However - things aren't always as clear when you post them in forums such as this one. Oh well - no big deal.

I responded to you due to the "Redskins fans that have a clue" comment. I agree more with eloco (the op) than everyone else in this thread, but I get where they're coming from. Both sides are legitimate opinions that a Redskins fan that has a clue can have. That's what I was trying to point out with my post.
