I responded to you due to the "Redskins fans that have a clue" comment. I agree more with eloco (the op) than everyone else in this thread, but I get where they're coming from. Both sides are legitimate opinions that a Redskins fan that has a clue can have. That's what I was trying to point out with my post.

Everyone should just be happy that a Redskins player can make a statement like this & not be considered completely insane. Could you imagine Zorn, Spurrier or any of their players making these type of claims? They would be taken away in a straight jacket. Let's leave it at that.

Pierre played in one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL with future HOFer P. Manning...before coming to Washington. You think he has a better view of the 'potential" of this offense over us fans? Did RG3 not say that playing in Cowboy Stadium was like "our house"?

It's like Tiger saying he could be the greatest, and expects to win every time he tees it up. I like the confidence, it's been loooooong overdue in DC.

Hail to you my brothers and sisters, it's good to be a Redskins fan!

Dear OP and other butt hurt fans,

Shut up. Who cares if a prominent player on the team said they have the POTENTIAL to be offense ever. How does this affect you, the team, or anything else? What headlines did it grab exactly?

Its good to see after many years good players on the team excited about the offense. The Redskins had very good offense last year and can grow. We WANT this type of excitement out of our players and leaders. Being vocal shows that they are proud and are buying into what they are doing.

Sincerely, Redskins fans who actually have a clue (not everywhere, pretty rare)

PS - If you want to complain about everything, be an Eagles fan

I don't like what Pierre said. We saw it from the Eagles before last season. In my opinion, it's the wrong attitude to have. I'd rather someone be hungry than mouthy. I'd rather see a player that is more Art Monk or Jerry Rice than Deshaun Jackson. You don't have to agree with me.

But calling others butt hurt, telling them they have no clue, telling them to shut up, and the ultimate insult - go cheer for the Eagles. I see nothing "tongue-and-cheek" about that.

Generally when I'm new somewhere, I don't run through the door with my middle fingers raised. Watch yourself and who's fandom you question. Punk ass.
