I definitely have said that he can drop down into the slot, that was one of his big assets coming here. He started his career as a CB, so his coverage skills are above average for a safety...

He can be...it is up to negotiations. Some times it is not in a teams best interest to sign someone for the VMS because you lose negotiating rights at the end of the season. That is why teams will sign a player for a little above the minimum salary just to keep their negotiating rights.

I don't think TP ever mentioned Wright practicing. He simply said "bring him in through camp". If he's on our roster but not practicing, he can sure as shit be put on the PUP list.
