The shitty Royals also have 3, and we didnt stuff the ballots to get our guys in there

Ours are more meaningful because they were selected by coaches

ASG voting is fucked up.

Mets fans had to stuff ballots to get Wright on the starting team this year, when he leads the league in nearly every category for third basemen. The guy he had to beat out was on the DL for most of the season.

Yeah, yeah, "it's for the fans." But as any politician will tell you, the general public are idiots.

Rock: Davis is on roids

Rock: See! He's been mentioned!

As soon as you can provide anything that mentions Davis is on roids....not he could be because of his HR totals, actually is on roids...then he'll "be mentioned"

#coffee table

:laugh3:

I'm looking at Chris Davis' minor league stats, and Jose Bautista looks like Phil Rizzuto in comparison. What was Davis' OPS his rookie year in the majors? What was Bautistas?

Davis crushed the ball at every level in the minors

Could hit for his hometown team
Got away from the distractions at home and started to hit again

Bautista sucked until he played for his 8th team

Sorry. The "get away from distractions" is simply another form of "swings harder". I'm suspicious of everyone.

This is all the evidence anyone has on Bautista. I thought the board was cool with jumping to conclusions based purely on power surges.

lets be honest, if davis was on the Sox or Yankees, everyone in here would be screaming PED's at him

not exactly unprecedented for the O's to have a juicer

Ortiz turned it down...

Sox only have 3 all stars (only 2 attending)...for a team with the best record in the AL? Not sure if that's a good thing, or a bad thing....

I bet there was a yankee player in it though right?

You can't have an MLB event without a yankee player .... Yankee players are the most popular, and most talent players in all of baseball

How do those cherries you picked taste? What was Davis' OPS+ his 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years in the majors?

OX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Red Sox and Yankees are among about a dozen teams who have checked in with the Phillies about the availability of Michael Young.
The Red Sox would play Young at third base while the Yankees could shuffle him between the hot corner and first base. Interestingly, Rosenthal notes that the Red Sox sent VP of player personnel Allard Baird to watch the Phillies in back-to-back series just prior to the All-Star break. Still, it's unclear if the Phillies will sell, as they sit at 48-48 on the year and are reportedly in the market for outfield and bullpen help. Young, who will be a free agent after the season, as a full no-trade clause.

HAMPTON BAYS, N.Y. -- Brooklyn Nets coach Jason Kidd has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor drunken-driving charge.

A judge placed Kidd on interim probation after the plea Tuesday. The coach also must speak to Long Island high school students about the dangers of drunken driving.
Kidd was arrested on July 15, 2012.

tigers are among 3 teams interested in tim lincecum as a reliever...yes, a reliever

98.5 said "no word if the sox are in the mix, but it wouldnt shock anyone if they were"

Multiple sources told me recently that some teams — the Tigers are one — have interest in acquiring Lincecum as a reliever for the stretch drive. Of course, that presumes that the Giants will become sellers at the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline. That’s far from certain, even with a 43-50 record.

I'll believe the Giants are sellers when I see it. 6.5 out in a weak division (aside from the surging Dodgers)? No way Lincecum gets traded.

You get swept at home by the Mets, you're a seller.
