On a serious note cause you seem to be a good poster, what do you think of yoyr new HC? Good move or bad? I'm curious.

Going back to talking football, I have a wait and see approach with this hire.

I didn't like that they got rid of Harbaugh but something obviously happened behind closed doors that had our GM and owner throwing the most successful coach we've had since Walsh out on his ass. And our offense was a complete disaster and had been getting more confusinng, yet predictable with each passing year post Alex Smith. We had HUGE injury problems but they were mostly on the defensive side of the ball. Our OC Roman was absolutely terrible at utilizing the players' strengths on offense and our offense struggled across the board because of it. I'm curious to see how Roman does as OC in BUF bc if he has success, then it was Harbaugh that demanded the offense run a certain way. Ultimately Harbaugh is gone so I typically am not one to play the woulda/coulda/shoulda game...other then to say that it boggles my mind that two grown ass men couldn't put aside their differences in order to work towards a common goal.

As far as the Tomsula hire, I initially was hoping for an offensive minded coach in order to leave our DC Fangio where he was. However, Tomsula is LOVED by the players and he has been a huge reason why our front 7 has been our team strength since he came on board in 2007. They have surrounded him with guys that have been HC in the NFL in key positions (Sparano and Mangini) and if we are able to lock down Chud as our OC, then I'll feel ok about the hire. Time will tell, however...hence my wait and see approach.

Jersey, so you are mixing and matching here. My original comment was towards DoubleJive who claimed that the Niners, the fans, the team, and the staff, which I'm assuming he means the coaching staff, has been classless during the entire rivalry. I asked him to provide some shred of evidence towards the players playing classless. He has yet to respond. Calling players classless implies either cheap shots/dirty play or something said to disrespect players on the other team publicly. I have been watching Niner football for 36 years and this team is certainly not classless in their play and I can't recall them ever giving the other team bulletin board material, aside from Harbaugh, but again, he's part of staff, not one of the players. They play hard, they play fast, they hit hard, they hit legal, and you rarely (I can't recall any at all within the last 4 years since Harbaugh, but never say never) see questionable OL chop blocks aiming for knees and/or ankles. DoubleJive is either talking out of his ass with his comment or he can show me evidence that this team plays classless.

Your response to my retort was that Harbaugh was a classless asshole which I volleyed back in kind with Dick Sherman. I never said that Dick Sherman did anything on the field of play that was classless, and aside from running up to Crabtree and trying to elicit a response with a fake ass "lets shake hands" gesture that was simply to rub salt into the wounds post NFCCG tip drill, I have no problem with his play. He is a shit talker and that's fine, just call a spade a spade. Harbaugh's sideline antics are in the same category as Dick Sherman pre-game, in-game, and post game on field shit talking antics...both have little impact on the outcome of the game and are theater otherwise...but can be viewed as classless if you so choose. The difference lies in my original question, which was what have Niner PLAYERS done on the field that was deemed classless to this rivalry???

As far as the rest of what you said, you are lumping things that shouldn't be, especially the way I have worded my questions and responses. I did find it humorous that you called Crabtree "classless" yet Sherman was merely speaking his mind. Crabtree had never said a word about Sherman publicly, yet you deem HIM classless. Why?

I root for Aldon Smith because he is a beast that plays the game the right way on the field. However, just because I am a fan of his play doesn't mean that I condone his dip-shit behavior off the field. OFF the field. And through his own stupidity, he never called out an opponent publicly or disrespected an opponent. Apples and oranges to try to justify or defend Sherman shit talking antics using Aldon Smith. Ask Harold if I have ever defended Aldon's behavior. I am on record many a time saying he's a dip shit and I hope he gets the help he needs, hope he stays sober, etc. I have never defended him other then to say let's allow facts to play out before we base judge and jury on TMZ reports. That is a far cry from condoning behavior.

Sherman, to me, is Rodman playing football. He's a great player and you love him and what he does for your team but he's YOUR asshole. If he were a Niner, you would probably hate him as much as our fan base does. That's fine and you are right, I would love him to be a CB on the Niners. He's still an asshole.
Damn, you must have a lot of free time to write novels I won't read like this. Shouldn't you be worried about who the 9ers play this week? Oh, that's right... :pound:

Lucky for you

1) It wasn't meant for you

2) You have Marshawn's reading abilities so it wouldn't matter anyways.

Consider yourself lucky if you can read this. I made sure to use small words so you can understand it.

I too was shocked that Harbaugh got the boot. I may not like the guy, but he did put the Niners back on the map. It's amazing how upper management can screw things up so badly. I could be wrong but too me it looks like your GM could be the Niners undoing if he can't work with the HC. Maybe things will be different with Tomsula as HC but yes, time will tell. At least Tomsula will get a chance with a healthy top 5 D to work with and some tweeking of the offense to put the Niners right back in the playoffs. I still think this rivalry is right at the top.

Baalke as a GM has been about as good as it gets with solid drafts (outside of 2012) and smart trades, while not impacting our cap with huge signings. His "redshirt" drafting philosophy has allowed us to draft guys with huge upside in later rounds with the commitment towards injury rehab, helping to "stock the shelves" with talent. For example, Tank Carradine was considered a top 10 talent at Florida St last season before blowing out his ACL, we got him mid 2nd round. Brandon Thomas was a road grader as a OG/OT at Clemson before he blew out his ACL in a pre-draft workout and was seen as a late 1st/early 2nd rounder and we got him at the end of the 3rd. I LOVE what he has done with the roster. What I didn't like was the shit show that was created by Harbaugh's contract situation and the way the FO wrote the fucking book on HOW NOT TO HANDLE NEGOTIATIONS WITH A SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYEE.

There is upside to Tomsula but I get the feeling that Harbaugh's coaches have become a cautionary tale on how this FO and this ownership treats their coaches and that is why the Niners had such trouble finding competent, established coaches from around the league to fill their voids. Tomsula is in a shitty spot no matter what happens. If he wins, he's winning with Harbaugh's team. If he loses, he's incompetent and has an incompetent staff. I am rooting for him, not only because he is the Niners' coach, but because he is about as genuinely good man that you will find in the NFL and every defensive player that has played for him has sung his praises, including Justin Smith who said he was the best coach he had ever had.

Our offense will dictate if this rivalry continues or if becomes a lopsided beatdown. Hopefully our offense can go back to its strengths and stop denying what it is, which is a power running team that passes off of play-action. The defense, even with a new coordinator, is the least of my worries. I worried about it as much as SEA fans did when Quinn took over for Bradley...which is to say not much. Too much talent to worry unless injuries decimate it again.

If the grown up Seahawks fans on this board want to talk about your fuck tard GM then so be it, but it's very slap-dick of them to engage in such idiotic discussion at this time. We aren't reaching for football conversation here friend, maybe you should go back to your board and be all grown up.

Has there ever been a head coach in a weaker position then the one Jim Tomsula is in? Holy Cow a head coach should be able to name his staff, but that's not the case in Santa Clara. Apparently it's going to be a "joint effort". What a frigging joke! Staff by committee, yeah that should work out just swell!

Really looking forward to the Seahawks playing them this up coming season, should be a real hoot!:becky:

Thing is with how they are setting it up they have put all the coming blame on themselves and not the coach. No one will be looking to much at the coach and rightfully so. If they fail that FO will be cleaned out, They did it to themselves.

That's true the coach shouldn't get blamed for the FO mishaps but if and when York cleans house, the new FO will probably bring in a new coaching staff. Niner fans seem to like Tomsula who may only get one year if the teams fails and that sucks for him since he's put in a difficult position.
