Forgive me. I thought you were referring to the OP.

Basically, I'm referring to the whole thing!! Seriously, why does it matter what someone's reason's are for disliking a particular team or player? Fans tend to be very diverse and there are any number of reasons why they will dislike a player or team.

I find it interesting that it seems to be only Heat fans and Lebroniacs that are so invested in trying to tell other posters when it's time to stop disliking their team and/or Lebron or want to tell others that there reasons are unacceptable or that it's reasons other than what the poster gave.

Honestly, they sound like the nerd kid in school begging the "cool kids" to like them!!

I don't think Lebron gave himself the King James nickname.
And if he did, it occurred during his teenager awkward years.
He was King James as far back as a sophomore in high school.
Nobody is entirely sure where it came from....

But, Kobe most definitely gave himself the BLACK MAMBA nickname atage 28.

So, if laker fans want to blast a nickname, they should probably acknowledge the arrogance of Kobe to simply give himself one.

And predictably, nobody outside of laker fans and media dudes calls Kobe the Mamba.

Nicknames should never be self awarded. It is one of the cheesiest things in sports.

LBJ also doesn't end his tweets with #KingJamesout as Kobe does when he say #Mambaout

But I don't think LBJ gave himself the name King James just like he did not call himself the chosen one as that nick name started when SI called him that in one of their magazines

It matters because someone wants to know. Who are you to determine if someone has a valid question or not? If you don't want to answer it then don't. I don't think the person directed it specifically to you. I'm a Heat fan and not only would I never tell someone to stop disliking a team or player I would not care. The reasons why people hate are interesting to me from a human behavior standpoint but besides that who really cares?

I don't care who you hate, why you hate them or if there is a logical reason for it. What I do care about is all the LBJ shit all over this board that is stupid and no one gives a shit about. Hate him all you want, but keep your hate to yourself. FFS

I have never said it wasn't a valid question. I have simply wondered why it is only Heat fans and Lebroniacs that seem to care!! I have never seen a fan of any other team or player spend so much time trying to convince others not to hate their team or player.

Additionally, who are Heat fans to tell others that their reasons for disliking a team or player are "bullshit"?

When I have been asked that question, I have answered and been told each of the following by different Heat fans and Lebroniacs:

1.) My reasons for not liking them are bullshit and I can't dislike them for those reasons and still be a fan of Kobe or Dwight. This even though I have never claimed to be a fan of either, but rather a Laker fan who supports them because they are on the team.

2.) I need to "get over it" because it's been 3 years.

3.) It's time to "grow a pair" and stop hating them.

4.) I am lying about why I dislike them and the real reason is "envy".

It's one thing to ask a question. But it is something else entirely when posters are told any or all of the above when an answer is given.

Can't speak for others, but I've just answered questions that have been asked and then asked one in return.

The only difference is that, other than mont, no Heat fans or Lebroniacs have answered my question!!

It's not you generally. There are a couple Lakers fans who love nothing more than to try and stir shit up for no reason.

What question did you ask?

Yeah, I know what you mean re: shit stirrers. To each their own, I suppose!! Glad you don't consider me to be one of those!!

My question was: Why do Heat fans/Lebroniacs even care why people hate their team and/or Lebron?

As a Laker fan, I couldn't care less why anyone hates the Lakers or any of their players. In fact, I like that the Lakers are hated. When other fans hate your team, it means your team is relevant/a threat.

As I said in another post: You don't see anyone hating on the Suns or Bobcats!!

I mean I like Lebron, he is the best player in the NBA, but I agree that I don't understand why anyone cares whether you hate him or not.

Yeah, just seems odd to me that they seem to care so much.

I don't like Lebron, but I have no problem acknowledging that he is the best player in the NBA!! I was the same way with Bird and MJ!! Didn't like them, but always respected what great players they were!!

Hot damn I hated Bird.......everytime he shot the ball, you were yelling "don't go in, DON'T GO IN" and you KNEW it was going in.....

Bird was a BAAAAAAAAD MAN. But I couldn't stand the Celtics.

Hated Karl Malone too......but that's cause he was as dirty as they came.

The problem isn't that Lebron have that nickname and have chosen one tatted on him, its when he was failing to live up to the name. Thats why he was getting so much criticism. Kobe was a proven great when he named himself that. Thats why no one had a problem with it.

I disagree that he failed to live up to the name. The guy consistently took a team with just him and a bunch of role players ( the same type of team KD had to deal with without Westbrook) The only year I can say he honestly failed the Cavs was in 2010 when Boston eliminated them in the 2nd round. Even in 09 when Orlando beat them he put up ridiculous numbers and was the best player in the series but he just didn't have enough help.

He made ALL NBA 1st team or 2nd team in 6 of his 7 years in Cleveland, ALL defensive 1st team twice, ROY, and also won 2 MVP's. No way did he failed to live up to his name. The reality of the situation is that outside of his last 2 years in Cleveland they never had a team capable of winning a title.

Just because you don't win a title doesn't mean you failed to live up to the name giving to you....Not every great player will win a title (Ewing, Malone, Stocking, and Barkley are great examples of this).

Who said you have to win rings? The main reason he was criticize, was because he was known as a choker and wasnt clutch. Had no killer instinct.

WHEN did he choke? In Cleveland, WHEN did he clearly have the superior team and lose???

I don't think he was a choker....That I disagree with 100% but I do agree that he wasn't clutch in Cleveland really but still doesn't mean he failed in Cleveland. He did everything he could've done in Cleveland except for win a championship and as I mentioned before he only had a team capable of winning the title maybe twice. You don't see a team with 1 superstar/star and a bunch of role players winning titles in this league
