and you are basing that on what? What concrete fact do you have to prove that? Or just speculation, cause if that's the case, then my speculation claims that the Pokes or the Trees could have ass rapped the Tide by 35 points or more.

Stanford played three teams with a pulse all season. They got killed by Oregon on their home field. They lost to USC before the refs decided they wanted to give "Golden Boy" Luck the Heisman. And they lost to Oklahoma State.

0-3 against decent teams. Nothing that makes them remotely statistically significant. Barely beat Cal. That team would have lost by at least 28 to Alabama.

As for Oklahoma State, their best win all season was completely outclassed by a team Alabama beat being by 24. Seriously, they beat NO GOOD TEAMS the entire season until Stanford (the team that was obliterated by Oregon) missed a field goal for the win.

right, more speculation. Let me check here. My speculation says that now the Pokes and the Trees would had shot a load on Bama's face to the tune of a 45 point destruction.

Speculate away, but knowledge of football says that OSU and Stanford both had good seasons against mediocre talent and one lost to a 28 point underdog, the other lost to every competent team it faced all season including its bowl game. Not impressed with your ability to speculate as you have been watching B1G football and its tainted your memories of what good football looks like.

Since we are on this speculation game, i guess its only fair to warn you no team has ever beat a Saban team by the points your talking about, which kind of makes your speculation a needle in a haystack, fart in a windstorm shot. Opinions are like assholes, some peoples stick and yours is smelling up the entire board.

Okay, I'm a Trojan and you're going to have to refresh my memory on how the refs gave Stanford the game. I never blame the refs for any loss, so it is possible that I have forgotten a call or 2 that may have impacted the game. I just remember seeing a great game!!

Stanford failed to convert on a 4th down that would have ended the game. USC got called with a phantom personal foul (edited).

OK State beat 9 teams with winning records in the regular season in 2011 including 5 top 25 teams ( 3 of them in the top 15), Bama beat 4 FBS teams all year with a winning record. Bama had the better loss but saying OK State didnt play anyone is disingenous. OSU's opponents had a combined record that was 14 games better than Bamas opponents and that counts Bama playing LSU 2 times.

The 1998 Buckeyes were the best team in the nation that year but lost a shocker to mICHIGAN State which kept them out of the National Championship.

Two best teams in 1998, imho, were Ohio State and K-State.... would have been an awesome NCG.
