It might be harder yet for DD to swing a deal for Porcello that brings back a decent return. RP is making $5.1mil this year and has another year of arbitration. If Porcello's dashboard numbers remain similar come July....it might not be possible to get much for him - outside of someone elses' bad contract. (Of course this all is based on the ability of Verlander to right his ship before too long.)

okay so i am officially on board with the sending Alex down to AAA. Pena hitting 300, Holaday at AAA Toledo hitting close to 300 and the top catching prospect McCann hitting around 350 at AA. Well DD was in AA Erie this week looking at players, wonder what position he could be looking at ? I think we all know.

Keep porcello....keep smyly in pen, where he helps us......we dont need anything at the moment....if you get rid of porcello to get RP.....you have to move smyly to the rotation so you are just flip flopping players. Unless the RP is pretty decent, theres no reason to tinker with anything.......now avila? That guy is lost......i now see how many pitches it takes the pitcher to K the poor guy....used to be just lefties striking him out all the time....now the righties have joined in.

You are making it out like we said we won the division, all we said is we had the lead which was a suprise in itself. I know you Tig fans are a bit anxious bc you expecting a division title handed to you.

Whenever you go 18-4, any team would feel good. A bad streak is due to come. We play the same teams, we have a stretch of Boston, Cincy, NYY, and Texas, this is just the start of it. The hard part is trying to withstand it and be lucky to go over .500 on it.

I for one am not anxious at all, it would be nice for the tigers to have some competition because then it would be interesting come September but I just don't see any teams in the central posing a legitimate threat. Yeah every year we have the royals, Indians and twins fans talking big in april and may and vanishing by july. This year wont be any different.
