Okay, it's still early, but this Canadian team is offensively challenged.

Canada beats Sweden 2-1 via the coin flip. Binnington was far and away the best Canadian player.

Did you see the Boone Jenner hit? Broke the dudes ribs apparently.
Suspendable offense or good open ice hit?

Drouin goal today - Sweet, sweet hands (Chicken Parm thinks Canada got away with a gloved pass from the defensive zone to the neutral zone).

Team USA looked like shit today against Finland. They better realize the officiating is different at the International level quickly or they're going to be in big trouble.

Barkov & Salomaki looked good for the Fins.

just watched game

- Wotherspoon blew a tire on the PK to cause the SWE goal. Not sayin' nothin', but Corrado rarely falls down.
- better PK in general, but still on it WAY too often
- Dougie Hamilton 4 minors already. settle down, shithead. no excuse for a top d-man. 1 minute left in a tie game, and you slash someone right infront of the ref? wait until you are in Boston to play like an idiot. (Strome has 3 minors, fwiw).
- PP still looks like shit too often. they are waiting for lanes to open instead of creating them. too many guys standing still.
- Scheifele is going to be a heck of a player. Still reminds me of Spezza.
- Binnington > Subban right now. Malcolm in the Middle had better be on a short leash if he still is #1. terrific glove save in OT
- honestly, I don't have too much of a problem with the hit. You can't admire a pass like that. by my timing, it was "one mississi-WHAM". that's not official, mind you.
- Hamilton also tried (and missed) for the huge hit in OT, leaving a clear 2 on 1. He is either trying to do way too much, or he is pretty over-rated. He stands out for the wrong reasons too often so far.
- better effort overall, but I am still waiting for the dominance

Strome has been adding some truculence to his game this year. His penalty minutes are definately up. Sorry.:D:

He's looked like a Burke-era Leaf from what I've seen in the tourney so far. That is to say he's been mediocre at best.

Kid needs to pick it up.
