Aregawi knocks her down and then tries to shoulder out another sprinter down the stretch. Ugh...

Is that the girl that was limping down the stretch?

As for knocking her down, that sucks. It wasn't intentional though, and in close quarters running it happens often. You should have seen the heats for (I think) the men's 5,000 M. There were elbows flying all over the place...those fellas weren't playing around.

Yeah, true. But shouldn't that DQ you or something to discourage that. She didn't medal anyway. That's just so brutal. You train all that time and someone else botches your chance. Feel awful for her.

It's not nice to call women "botches." :nono:

Although...I kinda like the sound of "Son-of-a-botch."

Maybe that will replace the phrase "Happy accident."

The Bahamas? I can see a guy winning a gold from the Bahamas, but to have enough depth to beat the US in a relay? Wow, great run.

Wouldn't have even been there to get the silver if the leadoff guy in the prelims didn't run the last half of his leg on on a broken fibula. #badass

another BRONZE

Canada's Mark de Jonge captured Olympic bronze in the men's K-1 200m on Day 15 of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Canada is now tied with its Beijing 2008 medal count.

he also apparently played in the CFL... hes from Calgary

I thought we were supposed to relatively clean up in the paddling/rowing events?
We've got what, 2 or 3 medals? Seems a bit light

At least five with the bronze today (Silver in both men's and women's rowing eights, AVK with the silver in K-1 1000, and Oldershaw with the bronze in canoeing).

Canadians probably won have done better in the kayak events if they would have removed all the camping equipment from the storage compartments prior to the race...

/those sleeping bags etc. aren't light...
