Well....what would you eat for those 3 fretful weeks? Pretend you only bought the ingredients for 5 meals.
You have your 5 favorite CD's in the CD changer...what 5?
And to break up the monotony...what 5 movies would you watch?
You hit the nail on the head. Now that you've simplified it, do any of those seem familiar? I feel like we answered those questions.

When? Where?

It's ok if you don't want to play.

Or you can just say:

Edamame and popcorn
Leo Sayer's Greatest Hits
Bambi....or Barbie...

Ok, I'll give it a shot.

1. Eggs cooked anyway, very versatile, high in protien and can be enjoyed for B/L/ or D.

2. Chicken Parm with pasta. My all-time fave. You can pick or choose the veg, I eat them all.

3. Phad Grapow (Thai basil) pork stir fry. Got to keep that spice in my life. Usually served with an egg on top and rice on the side.

4. If I'm limited to 5, I have to have a steak. I don't eat a lot of steak but if I'm limited give me an Aussie strip loin with salad.

5. Yogurt with granola and berries got to keep it healthy. I can eat it for any meal day or night.

1. Sawshank Redemption
2. Taking Chance
3. Pearl Harbor
4. Animal House
5. The Dirty Dozen

Like CD, I'm not a big album guy. In my life whether it be albums, cassettes or CDs I've probably ever owned 20. I can't even remember their titles. I love listening to all types of music but to me most albums had one or two good songs on them. So not to get chastised for over anal eyesing I'll say in no particular order; drum roll please...
1. Best of the 70s
2. Best of the 80s
3. Top hits of the 20s
4. Best of Country
5. All time Thai greatest hits

Like I mentioned I love music but was never into bands or going to concerts. Of all the bands out there I could only name all the members of one group. That would be Kiss. In my lifetime I've probably been to 10 concerts. Just wasn't my vibe.

Hmm...

Not sure I could do that with any group...
I know some people who know every original band member, every title to every album and every concert tour name they attended. He'll, I forget what I had for lunch yesterday.

1. Breakfast smoothie I’ve been doing for some 15 years: banana, apple, berries, greek yogurt, water, and nuts.
2. Gourmet bacon cheeseburger.
3. Grilled ribeye steak, with fries, and salad or some veggies.
4. Good broth with assorted crispy veggies tossed in, followed by chicken spicy sauce enchiladas.
5. Some kind of pasta dish with side of lettuce salad.

Movies:
1. My Cousin Vinny.
2. Forrest Gump.
3. Any Monty Python or Mel Brooks comedy.
4. Shawshank Redemption.
5. Donnie Brasco.

Music, I’ve grown tired of rock and stuff, so any symphony of great classical music composers:
1. Beethoven.
2. Bach.

Gimme Five: Gimme five trends you see taking place in our world that you are suspect of.

1. Professional Protestors: This stems from the current LA protests, I feel close to 40% of those crowds are groups that protest for a particular side. It's not that they personally object to any situation but it's more a chance to stir the pot.

2. No Cash Kiosks: I have been to a few places that no longer have a cashier mostly chains you have to order at the kiosk and pay with a card. I feel that for some reason creditors are pushing cashless pay systems.

3. Transgender's in sports. I believe every humas deserves love and I personally do not care if anyone is gay, use to bother me but I grew up. I am however opposed to transgender males participating in female sports. They are not female, god made them male they are males stop ruining sports for girls.

4. Lazy Cops (aka) roundabout / traffic circles / rotary's these are popping up more and more in Florida and people down here do not how to use them.

5. Food Trucks: I get it some of these are great, but I am not sure they go through the same rigorous inspections as sit down joints. Because I am not entirely sure how it works, I am suspect more than opposed.

1. Professional Protestors: This stems from the current LA protests. Fox Nrews reported on several "groups" that are paid to instigate "protests". We're talking millions of dollars. They did it in Seattle, Portland and Baltimore and now they're in LA. They showed people in different "protests" wearing the nexact same clothing and face masks. Like golfers getting paid by the second that a camera shows a logo.

2. No Cash Kiosks: I have been to a few places that no longer have a cashier. Money is the easiest thing to rob. Public places are insured for theft, people are not. Do you have an RFI wallet or pocketbook? Ads for RFI are great. With today's phones, stuff can be picked off easily.

3. Transgender's in sports. I don't have much love for perverts. I was assaulted by "gay" men, we called them queers, twice before I was twelve and once in the Navy. Both men were supposed to be important in youth development. One was a principal of an elementary school. The one that I met in the navy was honest to goodness beautiful. Until I ran my hand up HIS leg. They were protected in San Francisco. I still punched him in the jaw. That's my take on transgenders in girls sports. Everyone should have to pull down their underwear. If there's a penis, your not a girl. Hit the f*ckin' road.

4. Lazy Cops (aka) roundabout / traffic circles / rotary's these are popping up more and more in Florida and people down here do not how to use them. Agreed............People in BMWs, Lexus and couple others don't think that stop signs pertain to them either.

5. Food Trucks: I get it some of these are great, but I am not sure they go through the same rigorous inspections as sit down joints. Because I am not entirely sure how it works, I am suspect more than opposed. Agree. From what I've been told over the past three years here in Florida, the trucks are supposed to be inspected monthly. There is no cost for the inspection. Some of them prodly post the certificate right next to the window. Other don't appear to have ever been inspected. Especially the ones where the guy doing the cooking is dripping sweat over the grill.

It's as old as communism. Oppose the rule and create chaos, blame the other side for the chaos to get support, create more chaos with larger results, repeat until anarchy prevails, step in take total control with your supporters not realizing they did it to themselves.
2. No Cash Kiosks: I have been to a few places that no longer have a cashier mostly chains you have to order at the kiosk and pay with a card. I feel that for some reason creditors are pushing cashless pay systems.
Home Depot, Lowes, Kroger, Wall Mart, etc etc...16 self check out counters open with a camera on your face and credit/debit card. 1 counter manned by a person. In that scenario it is easier to use a card. They renovated an area in Nashville a few years back, 5th and Broad because it is at the intersection of 5th St and Broadway Ave. No cash. Any business that has a shop in that area cannot take cash for anything. Hattie B's Hot Chicken, 1 example, has other locations around town that accept cash but not downtown. I hate it. Will not go there. Then there is the places that charge extra to use a Credit or Debit card. There is a liquor store near me that shows both prices cash and card. West Coast Tacos does it. The electric department, the gas and water, my HOA all charge a "Convenience Fee" to pay online or in person with a card. I bring them a check once a month. I am highly suspicious of a cashless system.
3. Transgender's in sports. I believe every humas deserves love and I personally do not care if anyone is gay, use to bother me but I grew up. I am however opposed to transgender males participating in female sports. They are not female, god made them male they are males stop ruining sports for girls.
Yup. Create a third division. Male, Female, Other. I don't care if you cut your wang off or take it in the poop chute. I don't care. But once biological males have an advantage over females.
4. Lazy Cops (aka) roundabout / traffic circles / rotary's these are popping up more and more in Florida and people down here do not how to use them.
Yeah, here too. It actually does help with traffic flow when people know what they're doing. My opinion is if you're too dumb to navigate a roundabout, you don't get a license. DON'T STOP FOR A YIELD SIGN WITH NOBODY COMING!!!
5. Food Trucks: I get it some of these are great, but I am not sure they go through the same rigorous inspections as sit down joints. Because I am not entirely sure how it works, I am suspect more than opposed.
Ehh...A lot less likely to have cock roaches in a truck.

My 5. Electronics in cars. I feel they will soon be able to control to many aspects of our lives. One thing with Covid is they would not allow people to travel. With the new electronics mandated to be installed on all vehicles in 2026 and later, they will be able to remotely disable your car anywhere anytime. I believe that is a huge over reach and an devious way to remove freedoms. Coupled with the fact that insurance companies will not pay for repairs on older vehicles or allow body shops to repair them it forces people to buy newer cars with these electronic leashes. In Europe insurance companies are already disallowing any major drivetrain work on older vehicles. Need a transmission or motor rebuild? Nope. Buy a new car.

6. AI and facial recognition. Do not trust.
7. Apps on phones. So much user tracking.

Agree mostly.
As far as food trucks, it deppends on the state. Some are checked more than restaurants.
I have never gotten diarrhea from a food truck but have from Burger King, McDonalds, IHOP, etc.....

A lot of good stuff in here.

I agree with the sentiment started by @YankeeRebel, acceptance for all except where accepting means awarding a competitive advantage.

The electronics in cars is more complicated. Would you rather a disabled car or bullies roaming as part of martial law? I know it's not an "either or" subject - but the topic is more than just overreaching. I'm presenting a counter argument and not a vetted opinion.

The insurance companies wanting to force you out of your old car is an honest endeavor. They honestly want to make more money. Statistically they may be right. I might support them if I knew where the costs were highest: due to liability caused by increased deaths and injuries; or, just costs for repairs. I know it costs more to those don't have the money - but we all pay taxes, and if the roads are noticeably safer then it may be justified.

As for paid protesters: it's another form of propaganda. So is a lot of other protests that are about choosing a side instead of true outrage and expressing true social values.

If we lived in a world not populated by so much inattentiveness, chosen ignorance, and outright stupidness - my opinions would be more certain and lean toward keeping hands off. But we don't, and that perplexes me.

1. Professional Protestors: paid-to-protest sounds like Q-anon sh*t. But yeah, there’s a join-the-crowd mentality to it. I drive around gay parades, blm protests, metoo get togethers, and what not … but have the man sic camouflaged soldiers at ‘em, and ya, if I’m walking by, I’ll join the fight. I dont care what the cause.

2. No Cash Kiosks: just another way to chip away with an agenda to get rid of currency and nix the u.s. dollar … ummm, i’d say this is beyond big ass sh*t going down at the expense of Joe American … whoever that is anymore

3. Transgender's in sports. This is another scream by the right, like ‘defund the police,’ to gripe about the progressives … when in fact the vast majority do not believe XYs should be able to athletically compete with XXs … unless it’s like chess or golf where a limp wrist isn’t a detriment

4. Lazy Cops (aka) roundabout / traffic circles / rotary's . They could work if it was universal that you yield to get IN the rotary and police (video cams) it so everyone uses a blinker. That’s so rare up here in Massachusetts, some guy used a blinker to get off the rotary and I ran him down and offered to buy him a beer. Scared the crap out of him though …

5. Food Trucks: don’t trust ‘em. They usually offer exotic type food that I never had before, and those wheels look like I’ll never have it again … whether I like it or not.

The insurance companies wanting to force you out of your old car is an honest endeavor.
Insurance companies have one goal..................More money, less expenditures (internal costs) and claims paid.

Right now, people who lost homes in the California wildfires and Hurricane Helena are not getting claims paid. Why? Because insurance companies are trying to find ways to increase their income to offset those claims. Simplest ways to do that is to raise premiums on people paying for policies that have never had a claim.

Denying claims is the first step. When they can't, they delay payment or attempt to pay down the claim. You pay $2000 a year from full coverage on your car. You drive a 2020 Toyota RAV4 that you bought brand new and are paying $250 a month for 72 months. You have 24 payments remaining and still owe $6000. You get T-Boned and the car is totaled. You have 80,000 miles on it. The insurance company says it's worth $5000 and that's all they're paying. You ready to cough up $15,000 for a lawyer to take them to court for $1000? Or do you pay the $1000 and buy a new car which will cost you $3000 with the same insurance company?

Insurance is a legal scam. Especially homeowners. Banks and insurance companies are in it together. Banks demand that you have full coverage on any vehicle or home that you have a loan against. You think they aren't getting a kick back? They say it's to protect you against catastrophic loss. It's to protect them from you claiming bankruptcy on a brand new F-150 that you paid $65,000 for and was totaled last night and the insurance company will say is only worth $50,000 except you picked up Gap insurance for $50 a month to pay the bank the gap between the devalued truck and what you owe the bank.

I won't get into health insurance.
