Why not put Pederson on waivers now? Nobody will pick him up because he’s garbage right now and because of his salary but will send a message too.
If not picked up send him down to AAA. In fact do that for about 4 to 5 other players. At least Garcia and Semien.

If we get swept by Chicago will that cost Bochy his job? I am not necessarily hoping for that, but it does make me wonder

If Leiter and Corbin come apart we lose but we score for example 5 and 7 in both games then I think Bochy is still ok but will feel some more heat.
If we continue to lose scoring 1 or 2 runs and the pitching holds up then perhaps Bochy is really going to feel alot more noise.
You have to wonder if this hideous trend continues with the offense how someone would not take the fall.
Either way Bochy is still here for the moment regardless of what happens this weekend.

Bochy makes some crazy decisions but he does not bat. Mixed emotions. Players have to produce no matter how crazy Bochy gets.

Bochy is NOT a clubhouse favorite. But he will manage the rest of this season.

Seager is our best player. But NOT a clubhouse leader. Aloof and does his own thing.

Semien is the leader of this team.

Tough to lead when you're having the worst season of your career.

CY brought in Joc and Burger. Based on past performances those aren't bad additions. They (especially Pederson) are just having horrible seasons.

CY biggest failure this season is the BP. Yates and Robertson were great last year. But no such luck this season.

From Shawn McFarland:

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy believes that Seager could return to the lineup for next weekend’s home series vs. the St. Louis Cardinals or possibly even before then. Seager was placed on the injured list May 13 after his right hamstring strain (which initially sidelined him from April 23-May 3) continued to cause irritation.

“He looks good,” Bochy said. “Swinging good, running well. I thought overall, he did everything and passed all the tests as far as his progression.”

The Rangers will simulate game actions — hitting, fielding and running — for Seager in lieu of a minor league rehab assignment. The 31-year-old hasn’t participated in one since he played in three games for the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders after a left hamstring strain in May of 2023.

Seager has taken four trips to the injured list due to a hamstring strain since 2019 and has already missed 23 games this season because of the soft tissue injury. If Seager were to be activated on May 31 vs. the Cardinals, for example, he’ll have missed a full 30 games because of it.

From Shawn McFarland:

Bruce Bochy said that Corey Seager could return to the Rangers next weekend — or potentially even sooner. He’ll continue to face live pitching and do defensive drills until then to ramp up.

Evan Carter could begin a rehab stint next weekend too. He’s been hitting.

Jack holding his own. Now the offense needs to come thru with a few more runs.

i was half joking earlier when i said put Garcia on outright waivers but after watching the little league plays in the bottom of the 6th i would do it right now in the middle of the game. and i would tell Pederson and Semien they're next
