Which Giants would make the team?
Webb
Ray
Doval
Lee
Flores
Rogers
Miller
RanRod
I’d guess Webb, Ray, Flores, Doval.

Ok, fair point about the ML leader in RBI.No way they get 4 all stars
Webb for sure, maybe Doval or Ray. Flores I don't think so, lotta 1Bs and DHs with better numbers in the NL
RBI lolOk, fair point about the ML leader in RBI.
What about RanRod and Rogers? Can’t be too many other RP with better numbers…
I don't see Flores getting a lot of MVP votes eitherNon-closer RP just don’t get named. And Walker is NOT an all-star this year.
Webb is a no brainer.
Ray is solid, but NOT at an all-star level.
Flores might make an MVP push, but not an all-star at 1B/DH
Yaz is having a strong year, but not All-Star.
Lee may get some vote support, and he is having a nice year, but not really all-star worthy
Chappy is making too many errors (shows how worthless a stat THAT is) and his bat hasn’t really shown up yet.
End of the day, I would be surprised with anyone beyond Webb gets in.
Agree. I think Webb gets in for sure and maybe Ray. Doval isn't a dominant closer and dominant non closers are usually reserved for ones on teams who have no other representatives. No way they get 4 all stars

LOL come on manI will point out that Ramos and Yastrzemski are in a 3 way tie (with Andy Pages) for 9th place among NL outfielders in OPS+. That should at least put them in this discussion as well.
Ramos pulled ahead today and there's still time, so if he keeps on this tear he could make the team for sure.I will point out that Ramos and Yastrzemski are in a 3 way tie (with Andy Pages) for 9th place among NL outfielders in OPS+. That should at least put them in this discussion as well.

Ray has a case, agreed. Needs to keep it up the next month and a half obviously. Ramos can get there too if he keeps hitting. No way they get more than 3.Ray is NOT an all-star??
He's 6-0; 1.25 WHIP and 3.04 ERA 1.2 WAR....I think that's AS level
Yaz was never in the convo
Lee is .782 OPS and 1.4 WAR....probably not AS
Chap is .759 OPS and 1.9 WAR...he's in the convo
Wilmer won't make it b/c he adds no value on defense. There is no NL DH having a better year though.
You may be right and its only Webb, but one of the relievers should go; we've got four monsters in that bullpen (Doval, RanRod, Miller, Rogers)...but they won't have the saves.
Have you looked at the 8 outfielders above them? They are really close to the next 3 guys. Its close enough that both should be in the conversation of possible All-Stars. Not saying that would be automatics but if we are talking Flores as a 1B/DH pick, then we should talk about Ramos and/or Yastrzemski as possible outfield picks.LOL come on man
How many OFs are on the teams? 6 maybe?
Right but I already said Flores should not and will not be considered.Have you looked at the 8 outfielders above them? They are really close to the next 3 guys. I haven’t researched it (yet!) but I’ve got to think Wilmer is near the top of the DH stats.Have you looked at the 8 outfielders above them? They are really close to the next 3 guys. NL DH (OPS+):I haven’t researched it (yet!) but I’ve got to think Wilmer is near the top of the DH stats.
Yeah and he's about the same compared to first basemen. He's not an all star.NL DH (OPS+):
Ohtani 200
Schwarber 162
Ozuna 147
Suzuki 126
Sheets 123
Flores 122

I for one am Very happy that he is near All-star game quality DH for this team and has been clutch and don't mind if he gets some rest over the All-Star break. But he should be in consideration for the All-Star Game even though he likely doesn't get in the Game.Yeah and he's about the same compared to first basemen. He's not an all star.

He did have a cold spell for a bit but has been generally very good this year but I agree with msg, he is not an All-Star as it currently stands. It is a lot different being the 6th DH by OPS+ compared to being the 9th outfielder by OPS+. The All-Star team could well have 6 to 7 outfielders on the roster but maybe DHs at most.I for one am Very happy that he is near All-star game quality DH for this team and has been clutch and don't mind if he gets some rest over the All-Star break.
