Like a fart in an elevator, he is the stench that lingers. Is FZ back in the org?
This churn is really aggravating me!
UpdatedKyle Harrison is back. Lou Trivino was DFA’d to clear a roster spot.
Harrison was 97-98 mph in his last Triple-A start.

A bit surprised that they would cut bait on Trivino so quickly. Oh well.Kyle Harrison is back. Lou Trivino was DFA’d to clear a roster spot.

He really only crapped the mound badly once. I think the move was more driven by Harry having nothing left to prove in AAA. Maybe they’re hoping to sneak Trivino through waivers?A bit surprised that they would cut bait on Trivino so quickly. Oh well.
Trivino could walk if he chooses. It will be interesting to see if he does. Not sure any loyalty to Melvin will come into play here since the team he manages jettisoned Trivino so quickly. He really only crapped the mound badly once. Villar will almost assuredly be one of the roster casualties but who else gets cut from the active roster when both are ready? Is it Koss or Wisely? Both have options. I would guess Wisely, based on playing time. The Giants face 2 left-handed starters this weekend against the A's, so it wouldn't be too surprising to see one or both of Tyler Fitzgerald and Casey Schmitt activated from the injured list to help stack the lineup for those matchups.
VR doesn’t have options. He would need to be DFA’d to send him down.Villar will almost assuredly be one of the roster casualties but who else gets cut from the active roster when both are ready? Is it Koss or Wisely? Both have options. I would guess Wisely, based on playing time.
I knew that he had no options. I was referring to Koss and Wisely when mentioning that they had options.VR doesn’t have options. He would need to be DFA’d to send him down.
Not saying that isn’t potentially the right play, just specifying the “risk” involved in making that move.
I wasn’t saying you said VR had options. Just specifying the difference between him and the others and the potential cost of removing him from the 26.I knew that he had no options. I was referring to Koss and Wisely when mentioning that they had options.
I do think Villar should get a larger amount of playing time. Wade isn't hitting and has an OPS+ of 119 in a mere 21 PAs. Hardly worth sweeping him aside. Maybe the Giants see the need to keep him for the time being, note that Koss' bat hasn't really done much and Wisely isn't playing much, and just option both of them. Or there is also the possibility that Schmitt is just optioned to AAA when activated and only one of Koss or Wisely get optioned for Fitzgerald.
