Just keep buying into this fake media concern. This is a big nothingburger.

lol

He wants to say JJ was calling out Luka directly when JJ didn't mention any names...but I notice he hasn't said shit about Finch directly calling out Ant...by name.

Ant deserved to be called out and I think he'll respond appropriately. Some horses need the whip, some need the sugar cube. Luka I see as more of a sugar cube guy.

Nah, I look at it as comic entertainment. No player in NBA history has averaged 29/9/8 for their entire career. Well, except for this one fat lazy dude....

I think the Mavs FO has been pushing the Luka is fat stuff to defend themselves because they've been getting crushed by everyone for the trade. Hell, as glad as Lakers fans are to have him, even we're like "WTF?"

Dude sure didn't look too fat getting the Mavs to the finals.

I think that he was gassed in the 4th quarters of those games vs the T-Wolves because he missed so many games with injuries that he never got a chance to really get back in to game shape...especially when you consider the minutes he was asked to play.

He's apparently going to play in some Euro tournament which will be good and next year he'll get a full training camp.

He and Lebron reminded me of Lebron and D-Wade in that first season in Miami when they were trying to figure out their roles.

You hit the nail on the head. He rushed back still hurt and was never able to get right. Next year he will average 30+, 8/8 minimum. Bank that

Because as @shopson67 said...it likely wasn't directed solely at Luka. Luka wasn't the only one looking tired in those 4th quarters. Reaves looked tired and so did at least a couple of other guys...Lebron did too, but he's 40 so he gets a pass.

The media jumped on it because of what the Mavs have been saying to defend themselves from getting crushed for making the trade.
This.

I am still complaining to myself for three really bad decisions by the Lakers

Traded Zubac - years ago - Stupid Stupid Stupid

Gave up Julius Randle

Let Caruso walk

Rescinded the trade for Mark Williams this year - The Lakers have had several opportunities to fill that gap with a legitimate center and didn't - As a result - they not only lost - but they didn't deserve to win.
If we kept those 3......we wouldn't have the roster we have today.

I'll let you figure it out but you won't because you're clueless.

Except Caruso.

They chose to save money and keep THT instead despite all evidence that Caruso was the better option.

True.

And I think that's why they overpaid Christie a little bit when he got that 4 deal worth 32 mill.....they didn't want to risk losing him. And then he was part of the deal to land Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuka.

Caruso and Zubac I can agree with, but the only reason to keep Randle would've been to get more value out of him by trading him later. Not a good fit next to Lebron (or especially Lebron AND AD).

...and it didn't have to be one or the other. Now we'll see if they make the opposite mistake by refusing to consider trading AR.

They need to consider trading him this summer as well as Hachimura.

DFS can start in place of Hachimura.

Because, JJ played the entire starting lineup in the 2nd half all 24 minutes basically. Rookie coaching playoff mistake.

And we have no legit C or depth....there is work to be done in the offseason.

So fuck you back at ya, dumb ass.

That was one factor, but the Lakers just got outworked and matched up horribly. Wolves leaned into that lack of bigs for the Lakers, especially in game 5 while JJ decided to punt bigs altogether in the series. Worth a shot, didn't work.

Losing one post season is worth getting Luka. Would sticking with the Williams trade have fixed things? Maybe to some degree, but they erred on the side of caution and decided his medicals weren't worth using the last of their trade chips in that one deal for what could be a short career for Williams.
