It was pretty exciting watching Michkov at first. He was our first good young player in like 30 years.

I still think the go Misa if they get #1.

I could see it going either way. Misa is who I'm most excited about having the chance to get. But it seems Schaefer is almost unanimous these days as the #1 pick. Add in that he's just barely eligible for this draft and I'd have a really hard time passing on him. He would've been a 2026 draft guy if he was born 8 days later. Won't be 18 until training camp.

I think I'd go Schaefer at #1. But it would be hard. At #2 I would sprint to the podium to take Misa. After that I think it's really scrambled up for me between Frondell, Hagens, Desnoyers, and O'Brien. Like the idea of Frondell's shot and defensive awareness w/ Michkov. Hagens' speed and offensive skill would be a lot of fun, even if he drives a 2nd line and there's a better fit with Michkov. Desnoyers and OBrien seem to have IQ to work well with Michkov. Desnoyers with a little more compete, OBrien with a little more offense.

I'd be disappointed if they took Martone when one of those 6 will be available.

The Islanders jumped from 10th to 1st and Utah jumped from 14th to 4th, just enough to steal our spot. Truly absurd.

I think it just goes to show you that tanking doesn't do shit for you anymore in the Nhl, especially if there's one generational player that you have your eye on at number one overall. Not even San Jose with 50 regulation losses gets to draft #1 overall...Lol
