Were the 2024 Philadelphia Eagles the best team of the decade thus far?
Probably not a popular answer as they are viewed as chokers at this point: The 2023 RavensWere the 2024 Philadelphia Eagles the best team of the decade thus far?
I don’t think you can be viewed as the best team of the decade if you don’t win the Super Bowl. If you are talking about best regular season team of the decade, then yes the 23 Ravens are contenders.Probably not a popular answer as they are viewed as chokers at this point: The 2023 Ravens
I think in a lot of ways the 19 Chiefs are the best team of the Mahomes era, too. It’s between them and the 22 Chiefs, both finished with the same 14-3 record and won the Super Bowl, I would say yes the 24 Eagles are the best NFL team of the decade so far, because they were a more complete team, very strong at each position, whereas the 22 Chiefs was the Mahomes show. So I would vote yes
The 19 Chiefs may have been a more talented team than the 22 Chiefs, but their record wasn’t quite as good. I kind of discount all that happened during the Covid season because it was so bonkers and out of the norm that I don’t think what happened then can be compared to what happened in other seasons, but yeah the Bucs were loaded with talent that season. They were loaded with talent the next season too when they lost to the future Super Bowl champion Rams in a close playoff divisional round playoff game.I think in a lot of ways the 19 Chiefs are the best team of the Mahomes era, too.
In terms of talent, both the 20 Bucs and 24 Eagles were heads and shoulders above the rest of the league. The 20 Bucs took awhile to gel because they put it all together on the fly.
I actually feel it is the other way around with 2022. It was a considerably better defense and Mahomes was a considerably more mature QB.The 19 Chiefs may have been a more talented team than the 22 Chiefs, but their record wasn’t quite as good. I agree that the 22 Chiefs had a better D than the 19 Chiefs, but still their #1 receiver was JuJu Smith-Schuster, that’s not very good. It’s amazing what Mahomes did with that team, I mean Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney caught TD passes in the Super Bowl that year, that’s what the receiving room looked like for them. Mahomes had his best season in 22 IMOI actually feel it is the other way around with 2022. It was a considerably better defense and Mahomes was a considerably more mature QB.
In the last 10 seasons, the Patriots won 3 Superbowls and played in 5 conference championships. Were the 2024 Philadelphia Eagles the best team of the decade thus far?
Someday, there will be a discussion on which team was the best of the '20s. I'm eliminating all but one team from teams before 2024. Capiche? Or is that too hard to comprehend? You want to create a post on which team was the best of the '10s? Feel free to do so.In the last 10 seasons, the Patriots won 3 Superbowls and played in 5 conference championships.
Perhaps if you cherry pick the dates or use recency bias, you can "prove" something??????
What is your point? This is about the teams of the 2020s, nothing more.In the last 10 seasons, the Patriots won 3 Superbowls and played in 5 conference championships.

Mahomes really didn't play that well in stretches but he didn't really have to play his A game the whole time. 22 needed Mahomes to play his best to advance in the playoffs. 19 Chiefs just couldn't be defended. They won every game in the playoffs by double digits. If they didn't have Dirty Dan as a liability they're probably one of the best teams of all time.I actually feel it is the other way around with 2022. I agree that the Ravens were the best team in the AFC last year, but the Eagles did beat them in the regular season in Baltimore. The Chiefs were definitely fortunate to make the Super Bowl, but I don’t fault the Eagles for who their opponent was and they won in dominant fashion. It would’ve been interesting to see them play the Lions especially if the Lions were healthy.Mahomes really didn't play that well in stretches but he didn't really have to play his A game the whole time. 22 needed Mahomes to play his best to advance in the playoffs. 19 Chiefs just couldn't be defended. Anyways, the only knock against the 24 Eagles is that Washington and Kansas City were both super lucky teams. The Niners and Lions were gutted with injuries and even the Ravens were missing Zay Flowers and that was likely the difference between them not making the SB and them bowing out early.
Best team and Best season are often two very different things imo.The 19 Chiefs may have been a more talented team than the 22 Chiefs, but their record wasn’t quite as good.
Eagles won by 5 points and the Ravens outgained them by 120 yards. I dont think thats enough to notice that the Chiefs and Skins were punching way above their weightI agree that the Ravens were the best team in the AFC last year, but the Eagles did beat them in the regular season in Baltimore.
A Ravens/Eagles Super Bowl last year would’ve been very interesting, like you said it was a close game in the regular season and those two teams are very evenly matched.Eagles won by 5 points and the Ravens outgained them by 120 yards. I dont think thats enough to notice that the Chiefs and Skins were punching way above their weight
Jerry does.No one plays to have the best regular season
He said last decade. That’s 10 years everywhere but AtlantaWhat is your point? This is about the teams of the 2020s, nothing more.
