context. Micah wanted defense and had been talking about a bunch of different defensive guys before the pick. Would have done that for any offensive player and within about 2 seconds called the guy a beast and said he was happy with the pick

I’m no expert at all but from what I’ve read the major value in this draft was in rounds 2-4. I was hoping that he would have used the 5th round picks to get himself up into round 3 with an extra pick instead of trading out of round 3.

I can’t complain though. Howie knows what he’s doing haha.

I'm in the camp of Andrew's take myself. Hitting in these upcoming rounds reveals a lot about an organization. Agree that Howie has shown savvy across the board.

I agree with all of this. I think about these picks as spins on a bonus wheel. You want as many spins as you can take. Some guys will work out but most actually won’t. I think these rounds are really important for the quality of special teams.
