I wonder where Ceedee is at 4 am.

Not sure the numbers and explanation really makes sense when the recovery during the season and off-season wouldn’t be the same and other than the red light therapy and hyperbaric chamber you would think during the season the other stuff would be free at the team’s facility. But I know from TO the hyperbaric chamber stuff was expensive so I guess that adds up. When your body is your livelihood I guess it makes sense to spend the money to take care of it.

He's presided over a lot of personnel mistakes as owner. The funny thing is fightingfunbags supported many of them. But that's another story, best left to warring Sixers fans in the basketball forums. :D

Harris is a HUGE upgrade for the Commanders over Snyder. He's maybe average, I think he's no Jeffrey Lurie based on what I've seen in Philly, but that is still a huge upgrade. The Cowboys now have the worst ownership in the division by a longshot.
We really are being generous with the Giants

Ceedee's offseason "body maintenance" involves poles and lots of loose bills

Interesting tidbit here about the streak of Howie Roseman and the Eagles hitting on second-round picks in recent years.

Dallas Goeddert, Jalen Hurts, Landon Dickerson, Cam Juergens, Cooper DeJean...they have been hit and miss with some of the first rounders, but they have been finding Pro Bowl talent in the second round fairly consistently.

I was reading about what NFCE teams may be looking to do in the draft and this write up about Davis surprised me a little. I knew the year before was viewed as disappointing and I knew he wasn't lighting the world on fire last year either and obviously he doesn't play a high stat position so you can't judge a 1 tech on stats alone. I was so high on this guy coming out of the draft. Not as high as I was on Carter who I thought was tied with Will Anderson for the best defensive player in his draft class, but still, I thought Davis was going to be an absolute monster. With Williams and Sweat gone and of course Graham retiring and Huff disappointing, front 7 in general must be on their list in the first or second if a guy they like is on the board. It would seem to match how they build their team. I guess I don't watch Davis enough, but I just look at him as a guy who even if he doesn't accumulate stats see him as a player that can do his job and clog the middle and take up blockers. Am I wrong? Is grabbing another NT specifically a need?

“DT Jordan Davis,” Erby said. “Davis logged 27 tackles (15 solo), one sack, and two passes defended while playing in all 17 regular-season games in 2024. He added six tackles (four solo), including two sacks and one pass defense across four playoff appearances.“Davis started every regular-season game for the second year in a row, but he logged 122 fewer defensive snaps and ceded snaps to second-year defensive lineman Moro Ojomo. Philadelphia targeting Walter Nolen or Darius Alexander could spell doom for Davis.”

I think (assuming Cle doesn't take QB) the Giants have the easiest pick in the draft. They just take whomever Cle doesn't. Personally I think Hunter is the best player in the draft and then Carter. The ability to potentially be a shut down corner on defense and play up to 15 snaps a game on offense at a high level just gives him an edge that no other player can approach. Carter, also, I think will be fantastic. Imagine Garrett on the strong side and him on the weak side if you are an offense on 3rd and long if Cle goes that route? Both very exciting players. Then in round 2 I think the Giants will be in a great spot as well. If they don't take Hunter I think one or more of the top WRs will still be there, I think there will be some good DL and I also think OL. Plus they may want another RB to team up with Tracy who was really good last year but I don't think is a bell cow. They may be in a perfect spot to just go BPA in both rounds and have it align with their needs

What are Washington's needs @Caliskinsfan ? They have had so much turnover the last couple of seasons it's hard to figure out. You picked up Tunsil. I guess as much as any team they just sit there and go BPA? They could probably use a guy at almost every position other than QB, but are there really any glaring holes?

Edge, Oline and Corner imo - but there are still many additional areas that need to be addressed in terms of depth and talent

Philosophy appears to continue what they did last year in terms of quite a few short term contracts (re-signs in there as well i.e. Ertz) of savvy Vets who could potentially thrive in the new culture of AP and DQ.

Surprised me how many draft picks in lower rounds were given up and age on the roster is definitely a concern. Building thru the draft is obviously limited when you have less picks and that was a consistent message of AP originally.

That said, seems like grown ups are in charge at long last - so I'll leave them to it. Jayden erases the impact of some lesser talents on the field and elevates many players play too.

Still wouldn't surprise me if we take a step back this year but it also wouldn't surprise if the reverse occurs. It remains a week to week, year to year league, where health & a bit of luck matters.

It is increasingly looking like the eagles will move on from davis. He has a fifth-year option and it is unclear Philly will exercise it, which i think would make clear that his days seem numbered. He was ok last season as a rotational piece, but that is all he is basically. So a disappointment as a mid first rounder.

I think Davis had a good year last year. At the same time, look at what transpired with Milton Williams contract. You shouldn’t need to pay a guy big money to play next to Jalen Carter. You just need to continue to draft and develop legitimate pros and they’ll feast playing next to the attention Carter demands. The Eagles should always be looking OL and DL in every draft. It would be malpractice for them to come into next year with just Carter Davis and 7th round pick Moro Ojomo (who I happen to like a lot). This is Davis decision year for the fifth year option. DT has gotten so expensive that Davis may not be worth the 5th year option.

I kind of like this situation. Davis is clearly playing this season for his livelihood. That usually bodes well for performance when guys are incentivized in this way.

Good to see the Eagles get ahead of yet another contract issue by signing Cam Juergens to a contract extension. The Eagles return 10 out of 11 offensive starters, and most other than Dallas Goeddert are under contract for several years to come.
