Evan gave this ridiculous answer when asked about why Langford is not playing:

"No. He is here. Rangers have had practice of giving guys a day off between rehab and activation."

That is the silliest policy I have heard of in awhile. He traveled across the metroplex for two days. He doesn't need a day.
The other idiotic thing is that Joc is left handed and we are facing a RHer today so they decided to play Joc.

I never heard of this policy but one thing we do know is there is no notice of him being activated and some else likely Zeke being sent down

Dude probably does not want day off. Really don’t get it

A whole lot more of the managerial moves are more than extremely questionable these days. I typically just used to question certain bullpen moves. I wonder if somebody else has a hand in it or if Bochy is just truly losing his grasp on the brand of baseball that is most successful in today's game

When you are of the mindset that you have to tip toe around the feelings of veteran players you set yourself up to stick way too long with veterans who are in slumps. I don't think Bochy is alone in this. I believe most big league managers are that way and it is to the detriment of the team they are managing. Bochy just happens to have a guy in an even deeper slump than usual.

That is why young players have such a hard time getting legitimate shots when they aren't top draft picks or in the top 100 prospects in baseball. They almost have to luck into a spot.

Some baseball traditions are bad for the game.

First thought
Bet Leody sits tomorrow and Joc moves down to 6 or 7
Marcus still leads off.
Bochy a little stubborn

Second thought

Watching Bochy interview.
Hate to say it but he might sit Harris

He praised him verbally but his body language did not show enthusiasm for him

I hope this is not the case
You would have lost that bet.

Seems like the team is always playing from behind so far in the series. Tough spot to be in.

The offense is so anemic to get any runs to build a lead. It’s the same movie every night. No Semian Pederson Garcia Tavares and now Jung slumping a little.
Tough on our starters. Looks like Eovaldi in similar situation to Seattle last weekend.

From Evan Grant:

The Rangers scored 2 runs for Nathan Eovaldi today in his six innings of work. He's made 5 starts this season; the Rangers have scored 6 total runs while he was in the game.

Bochy is making a fool out of Pederson by keeping him in the line up. Garcia back to his old ways and Tavares shuoud have already been gone.
